    A birthday ride...

Not going to tell you who's, but it was another great day on the bike in the beautiful Oregon outdoors. Six of us had a lot of fun, a little paved road climbing, some singletrack, some cool water falls, good mexican food and great friends all around.

    Here are some pictures.

Looks like a good one, Sunday was a great day for facing the Elements, North Shore was like riding in some crazy banana belt, trail was dry in many spots. N.Shore tie was also draining well.

Great pic's, looks like fun. How do you keep from crashing on those mossy rocks?

Notice the second pic in that series, where Tom saves it by sticking a leg out. The series was actually 6 pics and I picked out the representative ones of the three states Tom experienced there.

Mossy rocks are slick even when dry. Caz pointed out one the previous day where we could still see the tire marks from when he went down earlier in the year when it was dry. I don't remember the thread name, but Sasquatch posted a pic of Caz's folly that day.

When mossy rocks are wet, well: s-h-h-h-h-h-h-o-o-o-o-o-p!

....the old pucker & pray technique. I've got that one down, usually ends with either a broken bike part, broken rock, broken FB, or some combination of the three.
