    Good job! Biketoberfest

Utterly shameless plug for COTA's fall trail work party. If you'll be around Bend or feel like coming over to lend a hand check out the details. The meet point is just northeast of here.

No prob on the shameless plug. In fact, just to show my support for shameless plugging, I'll now mention that the Disciples of Dirt have a trail work session scheduled for the same day (Sat. Oct. 20) at Whypass.

Now nobody, regardless of where they live, has a good excuse to skip out on doin' their duty.

Trails need us as much as we need them! Choose your venue and make it good.

Yeah that's right COTA Biketoberfest is Saturday 8AM at Bachee Park and Ride. That's the corner of Simpson and Columbia Avenues. Yes, the parking lot is under re-construction, but we've got permission and we'll be there.

    Destinations:

The goal will be to work on Farewell trail, South Fork, Storm King, Whoops, Flagline, The Lair and others.

    Bring:
Clothing suitable for whatever the weather maybe - we go rain or shine
    Work Gloves
Eye Protection...your riding glasses will be perfect
Hydration Pack with a few snacks and some water.

Beer and BBQ to follow the workparty.

Looking forward to working with you on the trails,
    Chris Kratsch

    More Pluggin

In the spirit of shameless pluggin there will be a work party on both Sat. and Sun. this weekend on the Golden Spike trail joining Stella/Harmony with Growlers Gulch. Both days starting at 9am Stella Gate. Come help us to get this great trail finished before the Harmonic Convergence. Timber Company gates are open allowing a shuttle to the top for a great guided trip down.

We came, it snowed, we knocked the snow off the trails and got to work.

How'd the other work parties go?

The Disciples of Dirt did a bunch of good work at Whypass. It didn't snow! (But it did rain!)

WHaaaaaat? I thought that was just water falling off the trees.
I even ditched my raincoat for most of the day as it was too warm with it on.

Good work all you trailworkers! More to come.
    More trails, m'm'mmmm!

HSD, you're thinking of Willamette Pass ski area. That's not the place we were working. Whypass is the DOD's secret singletrack zone that we frequent in the winter time. It's not as sensitive to winter use as are the USFS trails we love to ride in the drier months.
