Barbie Camp Spring 2006 photo thread

Here's a few for a tease. More to come in the next few days.

    Fire

    Bikes

    Thrills

    Spills

    Hills

    Freaks

    Geeks

    Cowboys and Cowgirls

    and plenty more

I had a blast at BC again, and it was great to see some new faces, plus plenty of old ones. The weather was great, and the snow was almost non-existant. The fun factor was high, and the party was hardy.

... and if we just ... Thanks B.C. staff and campers

The weather was a little rough around the edges, the rides were fun for what they were and of course the company was great...
Here's a few pics of campers, dogs and SS's.

    My BC pictures

Thanks again for everyone that made it over to Barbie Camp again this spring, okay so the weather wasn't perfect, the camping wasn't ideal, there was snow on the ground, there was water in the creeks...

IT WAS BARBIE CAMP and all that went out the window, so to speak.

The camping was awesome, the weather was ideal, the snow made for some fun, and the water reminded you it was spring and that this is mountain biking.

We had a great time, with great people in a great area. I personally found some very cool riding and got to show a few people some of it. Next fall we will have more of a trail in that area, at least as much as is required to follow the route. Some of the most technical trail riding in Oregon I have seen, and not for the weak...

Here are my pictures, in no specific order or whatever. ENJOY....

    last few pic's

    some parting shot's...

As Brandon was riding my bike the front brake exploded, not his fault and we had to hike about 1/2 mile back to find all of the parts. We did find them, all 6 of them, and put the brake back together, it worked great the rest of the weekend.

    Yea, BC Rocks!

Thanks for all the photos guys. Almost all of mine are shots of Coonskins new Vulture in the shop, which he'll get soon. That creek bed just rocked, literally, Boulder Creek, Barbies Rough Ride....Coonskins had another good name I forgot. After a few more rides through there in the fall it should start to bed in real nice. Great to ride and hang with everyone!

Was having too much fun to take many photos

    But here's what I got.

Regroup on the main Saturday ride. This is only a partial shot of the group. Notice the sunshine. Nat.

Lunch spot. Lots of logs and rocks, plus an abandoned tent to play on here.

Woke up to about an inch of fluff-stuff Sunday morning.

And warmed ourselves up with a Vulture Barbie-que.

    Vulture roll-call:
Pink Vulture-ized Barbie Bike was "given away" again. Barbie gets around, you know.
Blue Vulture on the left belongs to Christa (Wreckless).
Second Vulture from the left is General Coonskins'
Sweet Ti Vulture behind Barbie is the General's latest ride.
Orange Fire-and-Rain Vulture behind the Ti one is mine.
(mostly) Black Vulture on the right is Sparty's.
Blue Vulture on the Right belongs to Jefe' (PinsNeedles).

Finally, a parting shot of my short-lived 29" Snow Vulture.

Once again, the DoD crew did a wonderful job of hosting, and everyone had a good time. Including Richie, who is already looking forward to the next one. As is his owner.

    Good times

Thanks for all the fish . . .
    Er wait, Vultures?
Anyhoo, I had a great time, nice to meet and/or ride with y'all.

Got my front brakes sorted out (sorta). Almost pulled the plug on some Avid Mechs, but I got a deal on an Avid Juicy 5. Thanks for the advice, I imagine someday I'll make the mechanical switch.

It was certainly a good time. Being a BC cherry I wasn't sure I would leave with my manhood or my wife, but everything important survived (even my flash dried shoes...). I even have the blessings of Mrs. ImaKlyde to attend future Barbie happenings even though she said the DOD was pretty tame by her MT standards! That scared me just a little bit. Thanks again and enjoy the sunshine.

Who's up for Brice this weekend?

    Kraig...
Are the wheels roundish? Ride it.

Disciples Of Dirt, come ride with us.
