Any point in coming down to Oregon mid-March to ride?

We are planning on doing a mini road-trip from BC to Washington and possibly as far south as Oregon in mid-March. Are there likely to be any riding destinations that would be worth the drive that far south? Any recommendations for Washington would be appreciated as well.

No point in doing that. March is when I like to head to the SW (say, Moab) to escape western Oregon's epic mud plus see long forgotten rays of sunshine. I live in Eugene.

I thought Trump was banning Canadians from entering the United States due to your common sense approach to health care.

If you do make it this far south, about the only places that might be worth riding are Post Canyon, Syncline and Sandy Ridge. More than likely these places will still be muddy in March.

If you do make it to Oregon, you could check out Growlers Gulch on the way through SW Washington. Check in with Canyonview Cyclery in Longview, they should be able to hook you up with somebody to show you around. You will definitely need a guide.

Bend is still in storm recovery mode. Try again in May?

How about now? How about April 15? I'm thinking about a road trip mid april to Bend or Ashland or somewhere in the desert in between the two.

Oakridge trails are soggy... rode Alpine the past two Sundays. Just got back from Carpenter Bypass SW of Eugene (BLM stash network), it's like plowing through peanut butter.

    Bend is drying out quickly.

There are multiple days of riding here in bend if you wanted to hit most of everything that is dry.

Rode the new Jabberwocky trail in Ashland yesterday and it will please. All of the lower mountain trails in Ashland are rolling super nice right now.
