Another trail option in the 3CR area?

I've seen this trail on topo maps and I think I've seen the trail where it intersects the double track near the lower TH.

    Topo of the trail

    Has anybody ridden it?
I only ride bikes to fill the time when I'm not skiing.

    Nice map.

It looks like it is the extension of that double track that continues up past that fire pit and berm at the entrance to the singletrack. I followed it a few years ago, but only a few hundred yards. It was really overgrown and disappearing.

Could be an interesting reclamation project.

Yep, old double track, but that doesn't mean that it might not be fun!

I once climbed it for at least an hour, probably more, I had to see if there was anything worth checking out. Not sure if I reached the end but it got progressively overgrown and I just gave up after a while. This was a couple of years ago. I wouldn't recommend it, regardless of the condition and maintenance, the route is not dialed in for bikes at all. Think 'what is the best way to get a jeep up this mountain' vs 'what is the best way to enjoy this terrain on a bike/foot/horse'. The 3CR trail route is much better for bikes in my opinion than the old unmaintained doubletrack would ever be. Let it fade back to nature...

Thanks for the info, I may check it out some time for the hell of it.
