Annual locals ride on Thanksgiving ?

    Hey everyone,

I just moved to Portland and was curious if there's a locals road or mountain bike ride on Thanksgiving relatively close to town - within 45-1hr? Would prefer something that you don't have to pay for unless there's beer attached. :>

    Thanks,
    Erika

Don't usually ride on the day of Thanksgiving with family commitments, but do hit the trails a time or two the rest of the long weekend. I can point you in the right direction if that interests you.

Hey Erika, I usually hit Forest Park. Nothing intense but it is close to home & it burn calories. Better ideas?

Check these photos out - this is what I'm talking about. Maybe a shop in town would be into it. ....everyone just brings their own food, no forms to sign, no one officially leading the ride, no liability....just fun.

Yeah... DOD's Annual Pre-Turkey Night Ride is just like that So-Cal ride except DOD's...

Happens the day before Turkey Day
    Happens at night
    Smaller crowd
    Dark
    Wet
    Cold
    Better beer
    Fewer wimmins
    Bigger fire
    Some other stuff
