Every year I see this and every year I wish I would have gone. I think this year I'm gonna get some of the morons from in the PDX area and come down for some fun.

This is an equal opportunity ride. Morons are welcome, but let's not exclude the cool people! All abilities too. Seriously.

    Come on down!!

Any chance you could bring the cool *and* pretty gals with you?

It's good times. As MaximumPain stated...all are welcome. Hell, we still let Sparty and Shiggy ride there.

Nope, you don't need to be a DOD member. It's a fun day of frivolity in the mud. There will be ride groups of all abilities. There will be a wimmins ride group. There will be hammers, there will be slackers. At the end there will be a bonfire and a potluck, so bring something tasty to share (anything -- you don't have to cook).

Here are pictures from last year:

There's a core group of the "DOD" that puts all of these kinds of gatherings and rides together but as for membership...there's no membership. There are however, stickers, t-shirts and branding irons (brandings are free).

There's a "hand shake" involved as well although, oddly, there are no hands involved.

Seriously though, as SpartiCussalump said, it's all sorts of folks gathering to ride our stash as it were. Just good times, rain or shine...slow or fast...tall or short...red or blue...a Utopian sort of thing. Wait...I just threw up a little.

    Brock...

    PS: come on down.

You're making it waaaay to easy to join the inner circle these days Sparty. When I wanted to join, I was told that you had to get the DOD tatoo first and then supply the rest of the members with a truckload of their favorite beverage. What's up with that?

The DOD branding irons will be on hand at ACM VI for some post-ride branding 'round the bonfire @ the pile. Newbies will no doubt jump at the chance to wear the DOD brand. The burn from getting branded hurts longer than the sting from getting tattoo'd. Feel better?

There's a rumor that Brandmaster T will put in an appearance. Bring your unbranded arses and he can change that for you . Or, alternatively, bring some leather item, (wallets, boots and jackets have been items branded in the past) and he can leave you with a memento that only the DOD provides.

Fact. Check the old BC threads for pics of brands on boots, etc.

    It is the DOD logo.

There are at least 6 new trails since last year's ACM and one of them was just opened yesterday and has yet to be ridden.

    Great event!

Sunday was my first ACM. Very impressed with the organization of such a "low key" event. Our group had great guides and took us on some super trails. Of course I recognized many friendly faces from last summers MBO. Thanks DOD !

I saw only two photos on Sas's Photobucket site. I didn't break out my camera the whole day. Might have had something to do with the weather.

The group that I ended up having follow me around rocked. Thanks for making my day!

Sorry we got separated from Mr T (Maxsteel, the purported leader) and Shiggy. What happened to you all - so early in the ride? Mechanicals or something more serious!

Our ride guide pushed me off my bike and I got mud on my Sunday riding tights. Who do I talk to about getting re-imbursed for the dry cleaning?

I think the guide's name was Brock Obama.
