    Is This Tacky?

    Hey guys,

I'm pretty stoked about building up my new Evo2, and I'm picking up a new wheelset; Flow EX's laced to Hope Pro2's. I've ordered the raw frame, and I was thinking about going with gold hubs and seat clamp. It sounds kind of neat, but I also have a hard time visualizing things like this. Does the idea of gold hubs and seat clamp sound a little garish? The only colors I have on the bike will be the raw frame and blue decals, everything else is black or gray.

I wouldn't mind a little splash of color, but I also don't want look at my bike and think "wtf were you doing??" Any input from the more visually minded would be great! I can also choose from any of Hope's colors, but I'm really only debating black or gold. I think the splashes of gold would pop and add a little contrast to an already subdued color scheme. If it helps, my bike will look a lot like the full bike on the On One site, although I will be running a black fork until I pick up a Sektor. I would post a picture in this post, but my photobucket is acting up.

    Thanks for the input!
