    Smoothie Regular Headset

Hello to all! First of all sorry about my English.

I'm 'trying' my 1st build of a bike... It is an Inbred 29er frame. But I'm struggling with the headset.

I managed to install the crown race into the fork and the bearings in the hrame. But even after tightening up the star nut I get a huge play between low bearings and the crown race.

It seems to me that both should fit, I mean to make click one into the other but that seems impossible to achieve. I even took out the botton bearings from the frame and tried to make them fit with the crown race in the fork but I could not get it.

Any idea what am I doing wrong???

    Any help is much appreciated!!!

    Your link doesn't work.
Do you have enough spacers above or below the stem? The top cap needs to tighten against the stem or spacers without bottoming out on the steerer tube.

Sorted out!!! Problem was spacers above the stem. It seems there was not enough room between upper spacer and steerer tube, so using a bigger one the distance increased between them and pre-load was transmitted correctly down to the spacers.

    Thanks a lot!!!
