Care to share a link to the good SID prices? From On One UK? (They have had great fork prices recently.)

Got my 29er Scandal together. Seems real light, despite my AM SS wheels, winter tires and standard bits. Put a rigid eXotic carbon fork on the front for now. Love this frame and the CK SS hub!

Will get some 2.4 Chunky Monkeys in the front and back ASAP. Measured with a caliper and there is plenty of clearance. Love those tires! Might run them guetto tubeless.

Thanks, Michael, for the great sale price on the frame!

My daughter needed a new bike and my wife gave me a limited budget for the build. This is the compromise I came up with.

    On-One Scandal
    X-fusion Slide Fork
    Zee Shifting
    SLX Brakes
    Fire-X Crank Converted to 1X10 w/ Bash
    Vuelta Wheels
    Maxxis Ignitors
Cheap E-bay stem to get the fit right. Then will buy the real deal.

Nice bike, Friz. I have heard good things about the Xfusion forks.

Putting Chunky Monkey 2.4s on mine -- plenty of clearance!

By-by gears! I rode this week with a tensioner to try single speed at 32-19 on the Scandal and was flying on the trails. Ordered the proper swapouts and will be efficient and noise free very soon. Hoping to also score a 34t ring and all will be bliss.

The conversion to swapouts was more involved than I expected. There is an additional amount of material when comparing the swapout between the horizontal and vertical versions. I had waited such a long time to get these, that I just decided to get the file out and remove material so it would fit. Not a fan of backyard engineering on my bike, but at least I can ride tonight.

Can I ask where you got your 16" frame from? As far as I can figure Planet X Uk and USA are out of stock. Am I missing something.

I ordered mine direct from the UK On-One site. That was bake in February or March though. Not sure what the availability is these days. At the time it was the last black 16" in UK or US.
