    Quick fork question/Inbred 26"

I have a 16" Inbred swapout 26er and I finally picked up a new (to me) X Fusion Enix for it to replace the clapped out Manitou that was on it. The old fork had 100mm of travel and felt pretty good except a bit light in the front end when climbing.

The new fork came set at 80mm instead of the 100mm that the seller said. Am I crazy to run it at 80? I don't ride anything that technical, some roots and stuff but no rock gardens around here. Lots of up and down though.

    thanks!

I had the fork on my 26" Inbred set to 80mm originally, before changing to a 100mm spring. I can't say I noticed a huge difference, except that the 100mm is stiffer (which is why I changed it). Handling felt fine with either and losing 20mm (less if you factor in sag) wasn't a big deal. I'd recommend giving your fork a go at 80mm, and if you hate it, it shouldn't be too hard to adjust to 100.

    The update goes like this:

I'm a dumbass, there was no air in the fork. I pumped it up and voila my bike is awesome.
