... and if we just ... On One Crazy? I think so... kinda.

    Picture heavy post.

Wow, didn't know there is a full complete thread for On One bikes. I've been a fan of the On One's for a while now and I'm happy to say I've had my fair share of Inbred's and Scandal's.

I rarely post here, more of a looker and searcher for info and came across this by accident looking for my next builds... (Surly Cross Check and Niner MCR) but here goes. Here is my little journey with On One. Love em heaps, the geo suits me and budget is perfect

First On One item - 29er Carbon Forks

    Frame finally arrived.

Love the pearlescent orange, stunning colour.

    The build coming together..

Initially bought the wrong size and loved the colour so much, I ended up stripping it down and ordering the right size.

My mate is a pro photographer and took these shots for me Thanks Kevin!

    Love the carbon.

    Then came the Scandal...

Love building bikes, hours just fly by without knowing.

Was running geared but eventually went SS on this baby.

White is my colour White car, white bikes. I got a Santa Cruz Blur that is white and when I saw a pearlescent white on a Inbred... I figured out some excuse for another bike... so ended up with this one.

Frame and fork, Chris King BB and headset.

Inbred, gotta love the name! Pics don't do this colour justice, I've tried hard to capture the pearl in the colour.

Commuted on this baby for about 3,000km before I had worn out the tyre to the kevlar bead underneath.

Here she is in race spec.

My next Scandal with On One came from browsing their FB site. Some one off colours they had produced as trials showed up in my size... A phone call, some questions and 2 weeks later my one off (in the whole wide world apparently) bronze 29er Scandal landed at the office. Oh yeah baby, this was a treat.

Currently the coolest bike I own Not everyone's taste... but hey, I love it.

First build... it has changed since.

Both bikes... after a 4hour solo effort, riding them back to back.

The most recent version of the 26er Scandal... SS Rigid.

    The day before a race.

IMO they are bang for buck value. Compared to my other bikes I have just as much fun on these On Ones and I still have abit of change left over

Ride wise, geo is perfect for me, both 26er and 29er frames nicely proportioned and the finish on them are pretty good too. Out of all of them... the white Inbred steel frame is my pick!

    And the journey continues.......

Thanks for the pics! I still get to see my old Inbred 26" (sold it to a buddy) and I'm currently planning a 29" swapout Inbred when they become available.

I have seen the bronze in person. Lighter than a root beer. And it is a great color.

    Nice car!
I also own a Legacy GT. White too! But a wagon.

It's kindna getting neglected though after I got into mountain biking.
Just look at how dirty those Stoptech BBKs are!

Here are some pics with a Titus El Guapo sitting on top.
Since Titus is now owned by On-One, I guess we could consider this as an on-one bike too??

Cheers man Lovin' the bronze one, its a gem.

Yeah, when I had the 18" frame I felt too stretched out, but the 16" is perfect for my dimensions I guess...

I played around with the stem and seat positions too and when I finally got it spot on I just replicated it across all the On One's.

Bit of an update.... had a 50km enduro race and a few rides in between.

Finally had a sunny Sunday to get out the Muc Off and gave the Inbred and Scandal a good clean. Nothing like a couple of beers and a few hours in the backyard

AND finally got around to weighing my bikes too!

Arrived at the 3 Ring Circus 50km enduro event with my mate.

Decided on the Inbred for this event, steel hardtail was an excellent choice.

    Getting ready for the wash

    Wash and lube.

Even the Dragons got a good clean.

And now for the weigh in...

I've only started riding SS and I'm lovin' it more and more each time. The Scandal is uber light and just gets up and goes. I'm still working on the gearing and that in itself is a whole new learning curve.

Now the steel Inbred, for long enduro events, it rode so well. Last year I did it in a Giant Trance and comparing the two... the steel hardtail is now my preference. Compliant, springy and comfy. No loss of pedal power with pretty sharp handling.

Next race coming up this Saturday.... 12hour pairs. Still deciding which bike to take. 29er or the 26er. No SS this time.

Oh... got some bling bits for the 29er, can't wait for my new Fox sussy's to arrive.

Tip with the MRP guides.... change the top bolt immediately, it's hell weak and will probably end up killing the thread.

Next update to come after the next race

    HAPPY RIDING!!!

Hi Ride True, lovely collection of bikes there! I'm also in OZ and after an On One. Are you just getting them shipped over direct from the UK? Presumably there's no Australian reseller?

Very nice bikes ! I am waiting for an Inbred in a few days. I will post my 2 cents. For the moment I am a little worried with the final weight (>12,5kg and <13,5kg), but not so much :-) At the end, that will be a fun bike, not a racing one.
