Currenty setup, the frame is scratched to ***** though. Have a powdercoater who can do a new El Mar blue was thinking either gold or silver decal (just the On-One on the downtube).

yeah, the on-one components are great. I originally had an on-one stem too, but it was a little too long for my liking. I wish they made a 40mm stem. For now I'll just ride with the truvativ stem until I can justify spending the money on a more blingy stem, possibly a chromag or straitline.

Here are mine. Sorry about the dark pics, I should really remember to bring a camera on my rides and take some sunny outdoor shots.

18 in Inbred Gen 2. Rigid commuter / trail bike. It gets me to the office on time and in trouble when I arrive home late after sneaking in a few trails after work.

16 in 456. So much fun. I remember reading a review of the 456 and the guy wrote something like, "you can ride this bike a long time without realizing how good it is." Not far off the mark. It does everything so well with zero fuss.
    Attachment 634598

    Cheers. Lots to do.

Working on a 456 revision right now, some 29in stuff.

Most interesting is that there is no longer a dedicated singlespeed bike in the range which I think is a shame, so we're going to fix that.

    My new ride/first build.

I only started riding this year but I decided my old bike just wasn't cutting it for me so I decided to build what I wanted instead of just settling for something, and so far I'm loving the decision even though I've only got a few tune up rides around the house so far.

Nothing special and I'm sure it'll change since I like to wrench on things almost as much as I like riding them.
    456 Large
Manitou minute expert 130mm w/ remote LO
    Mavic EN321
Deore crank w/ blackspire 32t ring, race face bashguard, ngear jumpstop, & wellgo MG1s
    XT shadow rear derailleur
XT shifter (love the push/pull option for the upshift)
    King headset
    Azonic seatpost
    BB7s w/ speed dial 7s
Easton EA50 stem for now but I'm gonna swap for something with less rise
    Sunline v3 bars
    WTB aviator saddle
    Oury clear grips

Also wanted to put a plug in for On One USA. I ordered the last large frame they had, but through a mishap it had already been sent to someone else. They let me know every step of the way what was happening with it and I still got it before my other orders I was needing for the build. They seem to have very good customer service which is always important when deciding where to order from.

P.S. one more thing. Does anyone know where I can find an ano gold qr seat clamp in the 29.8 size?

My used SS commuter budget build with parts laying around.

soul cycles rigid fork 485mm axle to crown.

Extremely disappointed at the Conti mountain kings. They are supposed to be 2.2 but look like 1.9s. I was looking forward to a high volume tire for more cush up front. Oh well.

456 carbon "summer season trip" :
1300 kms across french mountains to swim in mediteranée

    first meters (still clean...)

    first evening

    new use

    somewhere in "chartreuse"

above Grenoble (after the picture, 1200m down after a rought day of 3500m total climb)

    somewhere in the south

end of the journey in front of Nice
just enjoy the warm and blue sea

Is this what englishspoken people call "mountain bike" ?
If yes, the 456 is a REAL "mountain bike"

This is my first 29er and first SS. It turned out to be a great bike -- very light and responsive.

** GREAT wheelset built by Steve at SRLPE Wheel Works, which includes:
*** CK rear SS hub (fantastic -- worth every $$), DT front hub, WTB Frequency i-23 rims, DB Wheelsmith spokes
    ** eXotic rigid carbon fork
** Bontrager Mud X TLR tires, running with Stan's tape and liquid
** Mary Bar (really like it)
** Specialized Phenom minimalist saddle (really comfortable)
** Used CK BB and headset
** Surly chainring and cog (great quality)

Fun bike. Minimal maintenance. Easy to clean. Great handling, even on rocky/rooty trails.

Going to do a Pompetamine fixed gear next. On-One USA only has large frame in black. Anyone have a glow-in-the-dark they want to sell??

    Joe

( P.S. -- sorry for the crappy cell phone photo.)

~2005 26" Inbred; I bought the frame NOS and built it up just last year. One of the "good" ones, pre-CEN regulations... nice compliant ride.

Pretty basic build: ~2006 Fox 32 Talas 130mm fork, basically new until this build last year. XT / Truvativ 1x9 drivetrain.

Nice 456! I've been toying with the idea of getting on of those with 650B wheels. How do you find the higher BB height? Any negatives? It seems like there is a heap of clearance on the back for the bigger wheels.

    Hello.

With SR-SUNTOUR EPICON (140 mm travel) my BB height is 340mm.
My feet don't touch the ground.
But it's an advantageous in rocky conditions.
I will take detail pics for tire clearance.

Nothing special about the build...just fun. Makes me question keeping my Yeti AS-R. I can't wait to try it out as 650b soon.

I'm thinking of buying a 2011 inbred frame for a budget build - but I'm in the classic 18" or 19.5" range. I'm 6', 170 lb, 32.5" inseam, 6' 2" reach. I'd be putting a 100 mm Manitou Tower Expert on it and am more xc oriented. Will I be comfortable on the 19.5"?

I'm 6'1" with a 32" inseam and bought an 18". I regret not getting the 19.5" honestly. I almost feel cramped climbing.

I'm about the same size, and I too have ridiculous ape arms. I went for the 19.5 and love it.

My newer ride. Set up for Early a.m. Rides.
115-160mm U-turn in the front and 32:18 drivetrain.
I haven't ridden another bike since I got this a month ago.

Upgrading the front fork to have a lockout + the Uturn. I was getting too much bob when mashing up steep hills.
    another pic...

Guess I should put in the Specs...
Rockshox Domain U-Turn 115-160mm travel (upgraded with lockout feature)
    DT Swiss AM wheelset
    Maxxis Highroller 2.35 tires
    FSA Tank headset
    Truvativ Hussefelt Cranks & BB
    Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes
    FSA oversize freeride handlebar
    THE Saddle
    Truvativ seatpost
    Crankbrothers Candy pedals
