nice bike Tulsan. I like the fork.
I used to ride to Win ... Now I ride to Grin

While my guitar gently weeps, my bike sits there mocking me

Here is my Summer Season. Transitioned to steel after cracking my cannondale. Love the feel of it, except for the extra weight. I weigh 240 though, so I can push it.

^ what rims are those? Are the wheels light? I'm looking for a lightweight wheelset that is white, but don't want to spring for arches.

Just added the spec list . The rims are Velocity P35 rims. Not very heavy at all for how wide they are. Nice fat footprint. Love 'em so far.

I've had this bike for a few months now and I'm really falling in love. For the trails I ride most of the time, this thing is perfect.

Had Memorial day off and after getting it all shiny, I decided to do a photo shoot. Then that turned into artsy fartsy series.

    Anyways, hope you enjoy.

Edit: Slight refinements to original build (for now I'm having more fun with the shock! got a shorter stem and flipped it to make up for the geo differences):

    456 Evo

My new 456 Evo frame arrived this last weekend, I just got it out for a first trail ride today. Simply awesome! Great compliment to my 140mm FS bike. It can hit some of the same terrain, but does it in a completely different manner. Like driving a dune buggy vs a baja truck.

    So much fun.

    Fork : Pompetamine
    Headset : On-One Smoothie Light
    Grips : ODI Rogue
    Bar : Truvatif Husselfelt 31.8 30mm rise
    Stem : Procraft Ahead II 31.8 60mm
    Brakehandles : Shimano Alfine
Brakes : Shimano Alfine 7" Discs

Because of the tyre size I had to use 7" discs as 6" was then to small for the caliper, and I wanted both discs the same size so I went to 7" front and rear.

As it has been said several times on here: this bike is a blast to ride!
    On One Bike pictures......-imageuploadedbytapatalk1343606822.830332.jpg

I had an Inbred 26 five years ago, converted it into a commuter and lent it to a relative who had Issues with cars and whiskey,...it's still toiling away under him.

So when I saw the fathers day clear out the warehouse sale I just could not pass the 29er frame, fork and extras up.

It took me 1.5 months to scrounge up the rest of the components but it was freakin worth it.

Just curious as to what the devil is the head badge?

    Orange!

    Before and after pics.

Found this 1x9 locally on CL with a decent build....(came with both sets of swapouts as well).

Traded an old set of BB7s, a Cygolite Mitycross 400, and $100 for it.

Fits perfectly in the quiver, right between the rigid SS and 1x9 FS

    Original build:

One cheapo pedal (it really came with only one pedal!)
    Rock Shox Tora fork
    Thomson stem
    Bontrager bar with cheapo grips
    Bontrager post
    Bontrager saddle
    X9 shifter
    X7 long cage derailleur
Shimano hubs laced to Bontrager Ranger rims
    Bontrager tires
    Super heavy cheapo cassette
    BB5 brakes

    Weight 31.5 lbs

    New build:

    CB Eggbeaters
Manitou Minute fork with Absolute Damper
    Sunline stem
Salsa Pro Moto bar with ODI Ruffian grips
    Truvativ post
    Fizik Aliante saddle
    X9 shifter
    X7 short cage derailleur
Sun Ringle Black Flag Expert wheels
Geax tires (thanks Hammerhead bikes garage!)
    XTR cassette
    BB7 brakes

    Weight 27 lbs

Still pretty heavy, but I'm certainly not unhappy considering I have total, after reselling the components I stripped, only around $500 into it (I found the wheels and fork, both brand new, as a combo on CL for $300!!!)

    2011 Inbred

Here is my contribution to this thread, it's a 2011 26'er Inbred. I built it up from parts I had laying around, so far only one ride and I like it. It's not easy on my legs since I'm so out of shape but even so, I'm considering selling my full suspension and geared hardtail bikes.

    Help ID an old frame?

I picked this old frame up on UK Ebay....
Just got it it back and want to start assembling parts.
Does anyone recognise this drop-out style?
    I'm also interested in tyre/tire clearance, could I get away with 26" x 3"?
    Thanks in advance...

My brand new 26" inbred on its first ride:

Built mostly with parts that I cannibalized off my old giant. Still some tweaking to do, but should be a lot of fun.

You need to acquire some of what they call "swap-outs". Either the vertical dropouts for gears or the horizontal dropouts for SS....get em from On-One

    Inbred 29er SS

The story of this Inbred is a long one, but I'll try and keep it as short as possible.

A mate of mine consulted me when building this bike in May this year and pretty much built the bike according to how I would build it if it was mine.

Then he ended up selling it to me for half of what he paid 4 months later. Bargain.

    Specs:

SS 29er Ltd Ed frame (Large)
    FSA Orbit MX headset
    Manitou Tower Fork
    Formula RX brakes
Deore Cranks (soon to be swapped for M960 XTR's after a Jeff Jones mod and polish)
    KMC SS chain
Hope Pro II Evo hubs (SS-specific rear)
    NoTubes ZTR Flow rims
Schwalbe Nobby Nic (f) and Racing Ralph (r) 2.25 Snakeskin running tubeless
19T cog at rear, 32T Blackspire Monoveloce chainring
    Raceface Ride stem and seatpost
    Custom HTFU headset cap
    Specialized Phenom 143 seat
    680mm On-One riser bars
    ESI Chunky grips
    Shimano M540 pedals
