    New 456 Evo Ti
Just finished up my 456 Evo Ti.

    Fork: Manitou Minute ABS 140
Wheels: Chris King/Mavic 819 with DT double butted spokes
Brakes: Shimano XT with Ice tech pads
Crank: Shimano SLX with Race Face 36t narrow wide ring
Rear Mech: Shimano XT 10sp Shadow
    Rear shifter: Shimano Zee 10sp
    Cassette: Shimano XT 10sp
    Seat post: Rock Shox Reverb
    Saddle: WTB Silverado Stealth
    Stem: Atom lab 65mm
    Handlebar: Blackspire 780mm wide
    Tires: Bontrager xr 2.25
    Pedals: Shimano XT clipless
Headset: Cane Creek tapered 44 internal upper and 49 external lower
    Grips: Funn

I haven't had a chance to weigh it yet but I'd guess around 27lbs maybe a bit less.

First impressions are great, I really like the geo with the 140 fork and it's more than enough travel for rough xc/light AM and the Ti frame has a great feel in the rear, I'm planning to upgrade the rear hub axle to a 10mm through axle to stiffen it up a bit.

First ride today since I finished converting my Inbred to singlespeed and overhauling the fork. I bolted on the horizontal swapout dropouts and found a nice rear wheel with a Surly flip-flop hub on CL. The flip-flop hub is a perfect match with the v-brakes. Gearing is 32x18 free, 32x13 fixed.

The ride is brilliant! Better than I expected. And I think its looks pretty rad too. Haven't run it fixed it, but I will soon. I'm juiced :rockon:Attachment 886363Attachment 886364Attachment 886365Attachment 886366

This bike has gone through some changes since I built it up at the end of last winter.

    Current Build:
    16in Fatty Rolling Chassis Build
    40mm Hussefelt Stem
    760mm Nukeproof Riser Alum
    Ergon Grips
FSA Alpha 175mm cranks w/ XTR chainrings
    FSA DH Platinum ISIS bb
    Time ATAC Z pedals
    Shimano XTR M960 RD
    Paul thumbie with Shiimano shifter
Truvativ Seatpost (being replaced with 410mm Thomson)
Sette saddle (mimics WTB Pure V)
    KMC Rustbuster chain 9 speed
    Shimano 12-36 "29er" cassette 9 speed

For the middle ring I had to use small spacers to mate it up with the cranks. With a spacer on the drive side of the bb everything clears fine.

Recently built this up and only had her out on a few rides, but after being struck down with the man flu and being unable to ride I fully detailed and lubed her up and took some snaps.
Budget build from donor bike and CRC etc... sale parts.

-On-One 456 Evo II 16" frame in matt raw.
-2013 Manitou Minute Pro 120mm fork (would like to upgrade to something travel adjustable up to 150mm in the future)
    - SunRingle Charger Expert wheelset. (factory bearings needed replacement within 2 months)
-Maxxis High Roller II 2.3" mounted tubeless.
-Shimano BR-M395 Hydraulic disc brakes with Avid Cleansweep G3 rotors 160mm (work well, will replace when dead)
    -SLX 9spd rear mech.
    -XT 9spd shifter
-Front mech and shifter Acera (soon to go 2x9 and may or may not keep this gear depending on how well it works)
-Cheap Shimano crankset, I think also Acera. (Will replace when) dead.
-Crank Bros Cobalt 3 bars 680mm (but have some Funn 810mm bars in the post)
    -On-One 50mm stem.
    -On-One Twelfty Seatpost.
    -WTB Shadow V saddle.
    -DMR V8 Pedals.

    Absolutely love this bike.

It will never be this clean again.

Nice ride. I tossed up for ages between the 456 evo and the inbred, but just wanted that slightly slacker head angle.
You have the Minute Pros as well?

    Oh Nice! What size???
  • 10-06-2014
    Mr Pink57
Mine is a small, every once in a while I wish for a medium but the small works just fine with the wide bars(750 mm) and dropper post to keep me moving nimbly around the bike.

How do you like the monocoque fork? Looking for a lighter replacement to my surly steel fork and it seems very similar and way cheaper to the 9er one.

This is their 26er Inbred so I did not even attempt to go B+ in the back - I don't think it'd work because of the design of the rear seatstay/Seat tube junction that has that bit of steel that extends beyond the Seat tube.
