inbred deraileur hanger, should i worry ?

I'm assembling parts to build my first On-One, a geared inbred. I just realized the deraileur hanger is non-replaceable. Coming from an all aluminum frame background, i'm used to the replaceable hangers, I've bent a few and had to replace them. Does a steel frame shake off impacts that much better, do you just bend the frame back into alignment, is this even a concern to most other riders ?

Steel frames are more resilient. They can generally be bent back.

I'll also add that the steel that makes up the dropout/hanger area is quite thick and burly....at least is is on my version with track ends (i.e. not the geared-only version). I've found that derailleurs snap before the hanger gets too bent.
