If anything the Scandal is probably the frame to do it as it has steep frame angles to start with so with every 20mm decreasing the angles by about 1 degree with a 140mm fork you are looking at a 70 degree head angle which is still steeper than most.

I have an older Reba RLT Dual Air on my Scandal and I keep thing about cranking up to 120mm but don't really ride hard enough terrain to warrant the extra travel.

At the end of the day it is about how it feels for you and only you can answer that one

Sweet... its a strong frame. And like you said its such a steep angle to start with i dont think i would be putting too much strain on the head tube... it would be painfull to find out though.... still scared.

Sorry to revive the dead, but wondering what the results of the 140mm fork on the scandal was. I am in the same predicament.
