    Blue Collar Inbred

Realizing that nobody gets excited about 26" HT's anymore, especially geared 26" HT's with V-brakes, I present my new Inbred that I built up over Christmas with old parts from the garage. Not a lick of bling. But I think the build highlights the versatility of the frame, as well as the durability of Shimano components - even the low end stuff. The ride is fantastic! I love the long top tube, particularly pedalling out of the saddle. Thank you On One!

    The Build:
Frame - 2011 On One Inbred Swap Out, 20"
Fork - Rock Shox Jett (needs replacing after the Tax Return Fairy comes)
Headset - half FSA Pig DH Pro, half Cane Creek IS-3 that got at the LBS for $10
    Drivetrain - 1x8, Shimano Deore Rear D
    Crankset - old low-end Shimano
BB - Shimano Square Taper UN-something something
Bashguard - benchgrinder special wornout chainring
    Chainwatcher - spare reflector bracket
    Pedals - beat up BMX
    Brakes - Tekro V-brakes
Wheels - low end Weinman rims on low end Shimano hubs
Tires - WTB Motoraptor up front, Specialized Hardrock in the rear

Looks like it turned out pretty much $ do you have in it?

Thanks. Less than $250 in the build. Let's see, the frame was $175 plus shipping from Titus USA. 10 bucks for the headset. 13 for the BB. 12 for the seat post collar (hard to find, BTW). 6 for a new shifter cable (the one I had wasn't long enough). And a dollar's worth of ball bearings to overhaul the pedals. Everything else I had on hand or fabbed. Add to that tube of Phil Wood grease. Geese, the blingyest thing on the bike is the grease!
