Need help. There has to be a word for this-

You get home and the big garage door opens with the opener light coming on.

Moments later in the house, you realize you need to step back out there. You know, just take a second to grab something. And just like all the other times, that 4m:59 light timer catches you at just the right 10 second window for the light to snap out and leave your unadjusted eyes to the dark and dangerous cavern that all garages can instantly become.

It happens often enough that I need a word for it.
In the Middle Ages, the biggest mistake was not putting on your armor because you were 'just going down to the corner.'

    Grody

Grody to the max. Extremely disgusting or foul. The "official" spelling is grotty, but in the vernacular, grody and grodey are more common.

    Wondering how to say it?

un-can'tdescent- Any lightbulb that times out just before needed or when needed most.

Often times, the snap of immediate darkness is followed by sounds of tools dropping, stumbling and falling sounds or foul language.

LOL and you thought you knew me a tad bit.
This happens to me a few times a month. I catch that tiny window of opportunity.

On a side note, I had to look up -Grody to the Max- to see if I pegged that timeframe. I was close.... 1982 I think and I was going for early 80's. Was thinking it was just past high school days for me.
