Eff that. I'm waiting until it gets above 50 f. before I go for a ride.

I wouldn't go out there either...people in AZ don't know how to drive in 50* weather...
Going way too fast, skidding off the road, 30 car pileups, driving without their lights on .... Doing stuff they'd never do if it were 80* out !..... you can have it...

    NWS JetStream - Wind Chill

Hmmmm....according to the first chart, if there's no wind, it's -40 degrees outside, and I'm riding my bike at 10 mph; then that's a wind chill of -66 degrees. According to the second chart, exposed skin freezes in one minute at that temperature.

Thanks anyway, I believe I'll pass.

I had to run up to Laramie Wyoming for work last night. I got up there at 4:00 a.m.and the temperature was a calm [no wind] -33 below focking ZERO F. I just returned back to Fort Collins Colorado just 45 miles away and I'm glad to be back to a balmy 8 F.
My company vehicle didn't have a temp. Gauge so I couldn't get a photo of the -33 below zero reading. But it's 11:00 am here and I snapped a photo of the 8 F.

It amazes me that a vehicle will even start/run in temps that low.

Gotta work it out for them. I heard it was warm over there. A lot colder here but nowhere near -40f.

You think you all have it rough? I had to wear a HOODIE this morning for the love of God!!! I actually SAW MY BREATH when i left for work!!! WTF? If this cold snap keeps up i may actually have to wear my one pair of long pants!

    The HUMANITY!

(See what i did there? I was actually pretending it was cold in San Diego to mock you all in a humorous manner. I am very clever and quite proud of my self. Ok, back to your complaining... sheesh, buncha pansy arses!)

^ -40 is the same in Fahrenheit and Celcius. Fun fact of the day. Tomorrow it's supposed to warm up to 34F during the day. There's an Arctic front sitting right on top of CA/NV, which is keeping temperatures nearly 20F below average for early December. I think today's high temperature was nearly 20F.
I've made some bad decisions like taking the gears off my bike. So here's the warning: Do not as I say, nor as I do.

A negative rep was very quickly headed in your direction, but then a message popped up saying I had to spread the rep around before hating. I walked to class this afternoon in jeans and a light jacket. It was around 20F then. Now it's starting to cool down for the evening/night.

It was so cold that when I shut the motor off it would cool all the way down to cold in 10 minutes. Then to get it back to temperature warm enough to get heat took a good half an hour.

My daughter had volleyball practice out at Cuyamaca College last night. When we were getting in the car I told her she better grab a sweat shirt, "it gets cold in East county."

We just busted up laughing. Because we've been up to our family's cabin in McCall, ID in Winter.

Haaa! You guys got it easy compared to us. It was 41 friggin degrees F this morning here .... in Californication... it never gets that cold here. I actually had to put on a light jacket.

But I still wore shorts and a t-shirt.

^ Hawg, way to many up!

We are at -11F wind chill right now. We are supposed to be -20F windchill (-2f actual) in the morning. Ah, refreshingly crisp air. Who is riding with me Saturday morning? It is supposed to be nice. 6F.
