We went for a ride through Carrizo Gorge by Jacumba Ca...as we rounded a turn we saw two guys walking towards us...saw them with no shirts on and didn't think much of it...as we got closer we saw they were both naked....it shouldn't of come as a surprise since there is a clothing optional resort near the trail...just didnt expect them to be out for a jog like its no big deal

This was taken on Grand Ridge trail east of Seattle where the trail crosses Grand Ridge Drive. These two were completely unconcerned about my presence.

I found a rubber chicken yesterday, does that count? No camera, but it's now in a place of honor and the trail has a new name to me.

Updpate, went back, so here's an actual photo of my new friend

Chasing bears through the woods drunk with a dull hatchet is strongly not advised

Those are actually bighorn sheep, not mountain goats.

I never came across one of these before (or just never noticed).

    Probably 5-6" long.

Xpost from "The Front Range Forum"

"Bugs, Birds, and Bats, Oh My !"

    aka: New Camera Passion

I finally upgraded from my 7 yr old dSLR to a new 2013 model and have had several days to test it in the past couple of weeks.

The city trail network is actually ripe with great photo ops for a cyclist, so most these have been shot from Ft. Collins' Spring Creek bike "path" with several shots taken back in WI on some short rides a few weeks ago, while I was back home for my 40th HS reunion.

I'll probably start throwing it in for some MTB rides as well, since even with one WA lens mounted, it weighs less than my old cameras body weighed alone !

    More bugs @ Rolland Moore

"Eye of Gull, Wing of Tern"

    "Fish, It's What's for Lunch"

A plethora of mixed mid-west critters

    "I Can Walk on Water"

This past week, I've been roving the trails at dusk and decided to try my hand at capturing a few bats.

We saw an owl on Sunday 8/18/13 at the Stottlemeyer trails in Western WA, I've seen more bears than owls in my life. Maybe it's just me, but seeing an owl is a rarity. No photo, sorry.

I was able to successfully hunt down and capture this monster on the ride today. Luckily I didn't loose any appendages.

Is this possibly a giant slug that was flung up by your tire when you ran over it? If so, I'm very glad that it did NOT hit you in the face.

Hi June Bug, no it wasn't from the front tire, as you can see it coming up off of the ground a few feet in front of the tire.
Damndest thing I've ever seen. I didn't even notice this the first few times I ran through this footage until I slowed it down.

    But your right, I'm glad it didn't hit me in the face... or worse got down in my jersey or shorts... I'm sure I would have had to climb off the bike in stripper mode. (c;
