Good call. I've run into moose, deer, and buffalo while riding. The deer are no big deal but the moose and buffalo can be territorial. If I was to see a rhino while riding I think the word confused would be an understatement...

I dug up a picture of a giant earthworm. I was going on a ride with my brother in the local trails. I have seen a few deers around, but it's really hard to take a photo of them, they escape really quick.

    Great Grey Owl

This shot was taken today while hiking, but I've seen them before while riding. One buzzed my girlfriend's head on a night ride. It was around Halloween-time and the moon was full. Coolest thing.

In a couple of years time I should be living in Washington state, I hear there are sightings up there. The idea of bigfoot has always intrigued me. All these years and no remains or any kind of physical evidence makes me a skeptic. But I still wonder what the hell it is so many people are seeing.

Is the bird at the sharp jog in the boardwalk? Just checked on Wikipedia; lyrebirds are BIG, but us Yanks are not familiar with them!

Yeah right on that bend, they are fairly elusive and run away normal but this one walked along the timber for a while then ran into the bush. They are on the Australian 10c coin.

The Kangaroos are back at Lysterfield, Melb VIC.

I've been riding the trail for 3 years. They were everywhere when I started. then Poof! they disappeared. Now they are back - great to ride along with them.... i think they enjoy it too.

Black Snake at Paris Mountain in Greenville, SC on February 1, 2013

I was a bit startled by this snake, which happened to be sunning himself just on the edge of the trail as I passed. He tried to strike at my foot as I pedaled by, but luckily he missed. Not that a Blake Snake would do any damage, but I still prefer not to get bitten. Todays temp was mid 50's, so I guess that is warm enough to get the snakes out...

First picture makes it look like he's pretty big, so thought it might be a black bear cub. Second picture makes me want to guess a beaver, though I can't see a tail.

Just the back legs from a rabbit.

Alongside Rocky Ridge trail today as Santa Teresa County Park in Santa Clara, CA. They were there for a while. Suprised no Turkey Vulture happened along for a snack.

The last outside cat I had would leave behind large parts of her catches like that.
