First heard this tune when I was 10 or 11 back in 1980 or thereabouts. From that day forward, I had a tremendous respect for Frank Zappa:

And of course, Frank’s appearance on the Steve Allen show (long before I was born):

Love Zappa. Saw him in concert last time he came to Cleveland. Truly a surreal experience. He had tables up front registering people to vote, and the stage had a mess of clotheslines hung with donated underwear (mostly female). Audience members were encouraged to take off their underwear and bring it up to donate.

So much cool stuff from Frank. I always loved Greggery Peccary. Also if you get a chance read his autobiography. Very entertaining.

    Remember - Zappa is Frank.

I wish I could remember where it was that I saw Frank. It was a smaller venue in Toronto and it was in that "hazy period" between '78 and '86.

It did inspire us to play "Joe's Garage" for 2 days. We swapped out musicians so we could get some rest. The police showed up many times.
