I watch too. I actually enjoy cavendish's fury. Looking forward to seeing wiggins do not much just like the schleck boys. And I love Jen! Is he even racing? I'm not sure who's in or who's out but my friend lives in S Tahoe and spotted Sagan riding around emerald bay.

Who's gonna win? I bet some Colombian up and comer...

I'll be watching what I can. I would love to watch some of it live, but probably won't happen.

I hope to chase, probably a few days... Santa Clarita is Friday and Saturday starts... and the climb up to Mountain High Ski resort should slow those boys down a little bit on the climbs, enough for all the weirdo's with rainbow hair to be out in force, running around in their tights and rainbow hairdo's. Should be quite the shyte show.

This should answer your question.. https://twitter.com/thejensie

I expect him to kick some butt in the times trials? Cavendish, the fighter at the finish line, almost always in good position at the last sprint, if the climbs don't kill him too badly.

I think Wednesday or Thursday starts at Pismo Beach, possibly a section of the 101, or? Sunday, of course will be starting at Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, with a couple of laps around scenic historical Mulholland Drive, there's a really good climb just past The Rock Store, where all the Harley guys and Gals like to hang out on any Sunday.

Is this the guy you're talking about? Garmin-Sharp Pro Cycling Team » Janier Acevedo

I have a little story to tell... about 2010< i think, cool fall day, and a buddy and I are out riding our Niner Air 9's from top of Reseda in the Valley down to the ocean and PCH... we are riding up the canyon to get back to the Valley, doing wind sprints (god those effer's hurt near the end, the legs are screaming from starvation) and this guy with a Niner Air 9 with drop bars goes by us. I call out to him and ask him to slow down and hold up a moment. So he does. So we are riding along this really rough dirt road, pot holes everywhere, a non maintained service road for the Gas company, and this guy slips right between Doug and myself, in the middle. Really, now much of a slot for him to drop back into, width wise. Kind of really freaked me out, I am not used to riding so close to other mtn bike riders on dirt roads, ever. Like rubbing shoulders is ever OK???. Comment about his bike, comment about him being screaming fast on a bike, does he race mountain bikes? Nope... he races for Garmin, and his name is Dave... So I look at his mtn bike, and it's a true one off... and I remember seeing it posted up here on MTBR as being stolen... the build on this guys bike is so top end, he's got components made of unobtanium compared to most all of us here on MTBR.

"well", he says, "I got to go practice." and off he goes dropping us like a bad habit.

The gears are just spinning in my head... I know this guy from somewhere... Dave, Team Garmin, stolen Niner Air 9, while he was racing the TOC no less, out of his garage in Utah. Posts on it in the Niner section of MTBR and 29'er section too.

It all made sense later... this guy rides pro road riding for a living, he rubs shoulders all the time, for hours on pavement, daily with other team members, it's force of habit for him to squeeze in. That was the day I slowed down and stopped Dave Zabriskie. Times Trials specialist.

I think Dave zipped off, just about the time I was almost finished putting the pieces of the puzzle together and figuring out that it was him, the gig was up. Very interesting 2 to 3 minutes of my life. Star struck, after the fact. Very cool moment for me.

I was just looking for TV listings the other day, so yeah I'll be watching. It's a good opportunity to see the various team's makeup, see who's switched, etc.

I was lucky enough to live in Rancho Bernardo north county San Diego several years ago. They came by just a mile from my house. I stood on the sidelines as they passed by. Lance was up front of course.

Just found out that one of my collegiate teammates will be racing the TOC women's circuit race. A couple other riders in our collegiate conference will also be racing at the women's circuit race. Super sick!

But no, I won't be able to see any stages. The closest one is in Folsom, and that's still about an hour and a half of driving one-way to get there. Too much for me. Maybe I'll stream a few stages online or something.
I've made some bad decisions like taking the gears off my bike. So here's the warning: Do not as I say, nor as I do.

I've used the Tour Tracker app in the past. Even watching it live when I was sitting in an airport. There's both an iphone and an ipad version. Has teams, stats, maps, riders, routes. Very nice since it takes place in the middle of the day when we're at work.
