Things that make you laugh and you're not sure why...

You know what I'm talking about. You just burst out laughing and then have to go back and analyze the why of it all. This is one of mine:

Princess Leah Star Wars scene viewer one of the kids got in a BK kids meal many years back. Look up her skirt and see a space battle!

I just picture the original designer laughing in disbelief that he was able to pull this off

Scanning the television channels and happening on to a WWF wrestling match. I have to stop for a minute and laugh. It blows my mind that this has been going on since the !970's and people think it's real. How do these wrestlers face people in every day life. I'm embarrassed for them just watching that fake crap. I understand it's for the kids but there is a huge adult following. Check out the audience some time. WWF 1993 Undertaker Vs Razor Ramon - YouTube To me this is hilarious.

15" zucchini's at the Coachella Valley music festival make me giggle. I'd bust a gut laughing at one of those 15 inchers at a Renaissance Pleasure Faire too, in the hands of some bawdy wenches. No telling where it would end up.

Bob I find that to be pretty damn funny also. I guess it's the fact that we know it's going to happen. But I bet I cracked up the first time I saw it as well. But it's been so long I couldn't recall. Everything in this thread so far I find to be pretty funny. Great thread!

There is a fine line between laughter and facepalm and everyone's boundary is different.

For example, I roll out laughing at "Bob's burgers" but "Family guy" just sends me looking for the remote.

Family Guy still does it for me - sometimes I can find that the humor set intentionally-dry for half a show just to sneak-in a zinger.

Another Funny - hearing the words ''yeah - no'' put to use - many times too. What does that mean??

I noticed myself doing the yeah-no thing, then I noticed most everyone does it. I try not to now.

Mr. Bean: the nose hair trimmer. I actually thought I was going to pass out because I was laughing so hard I couldn't breath. Through the whole thing.

Cabin in the Woods: the celebratory party scene with the big-screen death mauling in the background.

And: everything you guys have posted here so far. Thank you and keep them coming!

I think it was on TV before 63 ... no list of wrestlers can be complete without Dick the Bruiser and Bobo Brazil and like you said 100s of others. IMO the fun went away when TBS started pushing it in the late 70's and it got to be a lot like reality TV is today.

I loved that stuff when I was a kid. We knew it was mostly fake, but do you think it'd be fun to have this guy trying to tie you in knots?

Watch "The Wrestler", there's a lot of truth in it. It's scripted, and it still hurts like hell. Plus, Marisa Tomei.

I'm hearing ya loud and clear....

My uncle took me one time to the Cow Palace in SF. about 1973-4 . was the best time ever.

I don't let my son have any of this sexual rapist, womanizing, foul mouthed bull crap they have now. There's not any of them now I want him to have respect for.
No action figures, no video games. no TV shows.

DX made me laugh back in '06....

It's SO much more fun at a live show. You can easily tell the wrestlers are out there PARTYING, having a good time. A 1990 live show was unforgettable!

Andre the Giant could have worn a 5-gallon bucket for a helmet!
Superfly Snuka was TWICE as burly in real life.

My then-12-y-o daughter got to pat Hulk Hogan's arm as he ripped past the crowd on the way out of the ring area. It was her one second of fame when that was televised about two months later.

Last Friday AM I was + Rep'd many times after continuing flow with aka AZMTNS Girl Friday - only I chose the three-breasted woman from Total Recall.

I try to spend ultra-abbreviated time on the 'net, really had no idea what made me think of Total Recall like that. I later went on to stand-behind FOX's Family Guy in this thread - still w/o a tie-in to being motivated in a good or bad way to do just that.

So - got around to watching my missed TV - yep Family Guy. Not only did fellow Nutmegger Seth MacFarlane go and have a show titled 'Total Recall' but also went ahead and changed the long standing intro to the show, AND pulled hilarious bits in the shows like I noted as having been classic Family Guy.

That kind of subliminal-effect on my own channeling a way to release - I was finding that funny for the better part of Today. And I don't know why!!
