I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface
I don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there
Become so tired, so much more aware
By becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

And I know I may end up failing too
But I know you were just like me with someone disappointed in you

These are the lines that just Dont get out of my mind, from the Numb - LinkInPark

Another from the Back Street Boys - show me the meaning

Your every wish will be done
    They tell me
Show me the meaning of being lonely
Is this the feeling I need to walk with
Tell me why I can't be there where you are
There's something missing in my heart

THese lines won't get the out of my mind... AHhhhhh!!!!!

This is another from LinkInPark - Somewhere I belong

I want to let go of the pain I felt so long (erase all the pain 'til it's gone)
I want to heal, I want to feel
Like I'm close to something real
I want to find something I've wanted all along
    Somewhere I belong

I will never know myself until I do this on my own
    And I will never feel,
Anything else until my wounds are healed
    I will never be
Anything 'til I break away from me
And I will break away, and find myself today

Not sure I should admit it, but I have Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves on my playlist when I run. I also have Holiday in Cambodia so maybe that balances it out?

They really changed as they went through different singers, though they all had some good songs. I always liked Blackmore's playing. I never saw them but I saw Joe Lynn Turner play at a corporate event.

Yep, I was lucky enough to see them when Ritchie Blackmore and Ronnie James Dio was the main draw.

    Out of The Black

    https://youtu.be/bSdtvfBQd6c

How did it feel, when I came alive and took you
Out of the black, it broke your skin and shook through
Every part of me, every part of you
You made a fool out of me, you took the skin off my back running
So don't breath when I talk, cause you haven't been spoken to
I got a gun for my mouth and a bullet with your name on it
But a trigger for a heart, beating blood from an empty pocket
I choose to live and to lie..kill and to give and to die..learn and love and to do what it takes to step through. MJK

Iíve never been much of a country music fan, but every once in while a song really gets me. This ďnew oneĒ from Garth Brooks does just that. He launched it on the country music awards about a week ago. I happened to have watched some of it and caught this performance. Itís been stuck in my head ever since.

I'm a prisoner of the house and my Tempurpedic uppy-downy bed during a setback in my back surgery recovery. So frikin' desperate, I signed up for a freebie month of Netflix as I don't do TV or have cable in years. In 2 days, I have watched nearly 2 full seasons of "Ice Pilots - NWT" and the bumper music is burned into my head...over and over and over. I gotta go try and walk outdoors.

This is going to sound friggin weird and might not resonate with the younger crowd but I've been singing the old TV show "Green Acres" theme song...I have no idea why, have not heard it lately, have not seen a re-run. Quite frightening, lol.

Happens to me all the time!

My wife and I have just about completed 32 episodes of Season 1 Green Acres this past week while I'm still on limited duty and she's home during her Christmas Break as a teacher. They just recently compiled the entire 6 seasons for release on DVD so we're buying it. Good, clean, slapstick humor. Sadly, a truly lost art in our society.

btw, as a product of the 60's, for some reason a whole lot of the music from the shows of the time really stuck. I can remember, note by note, some pretty oddball stuff from the day. Hell, a few years ago we had a radio station that was doing a "name that tune" kind of game on air where they would play a couple-a-few notes from an old show and you had to guess it. I tuned in late and they were stuck on one that nobody had figured out. 4 notes only...*BOOM* I nailed it! Theme from the TV show 'Mannix'. Scored a nice T-shirt for that one. Unfortunately, that's the most my incredible talent has yielded!

Oh My Sack, I did not know that it was available. I might look into that because quite honestly it's not all that lame and better than a lot of the crap thats on now.

Anyway sorry to mis-direct the thread for a moment, carry on.

Nothing wrong with a derail here and there. And thanks to you I've had 8 hours of the theme to song to Green Acres stuck in my head.

Funny thing is, I was serious that it was stuck in my head all day. And I didn't even hear it earlier. Just gdb85 mention of it stuck it in my head.

I woke up in the middle of the night with that stuck in my head. I think I know why.

Neither, and there's no such thing as too much of The Kinks.

It started with a low light
Next thing I knew they ripped me from my bed
And then they took my blood type
It left a strange impression in my head
You know that I was hoping
That I could leave this star-crossed world behind
But when they cut me open,
I guess that changed my mind

I could see why that would stick. Iíll get back with you in a few days if it did the same for me.

I'm sorry DJ, no one should ever have to have Ratt songs stuck in their head...not even the members of Ratt. Can your doctor write you a 'scrip for that?

I met a gin soaked barroom queen in Memphis
She tried to take me upstairs for a ride,
She had to heave right across her shoulders
'cause I just can't seem to drink you off my mind

C'mon, man, you know it's ultra-kewl when a hair metal rocker "points" his guitar at you and "shoots" you with a fast finger hammer-tap guitar solo.

At least it was in 1983.

Is there anyone badder than Leroy Brown?
    I think not.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

I woke up at 3:30 this morning with the lead in guitar riff from Styx "Miss America" in my head for no reason that I can tell, and it WOULD NOT LEAVE! Kept me mostly awake all the way til my alarm went off.

"In the heat with a blue jean girl
Burnin' love comes once in a lifetime"

By the way, that might seem like one of the poppier? Journey songs but it's got some killer guitar in it.

The video game says "play me"
Face it on a level but it takes you every time on a one on one
    Feeling running down your spine
Nothing gonna save your one last dime 'cause it own you
    Through and through
    The databank know my number
Says I gotta pay 'cause I made the grade last year
Feel it when I turn the screw
Kicks you round the world, there ain't a thing that it can't do
    Do to you
Who made who, who made you?
Who made who, ain't nobody told you?
Who made who, who made you?
If you made them and they made you
Who picked up the bill, and who made who?
    Yeah
    Who made who
    Who turned the screw?
    Yeah, satellites send me picture
Get it in the eye, take it to the wire
    Spinning like a dynamo
Feel it going round and round
Running out of chips, you got no line in an eight bit town
    So don't look down, no
Who made who, who made you?
Who made who, ain't nobody told you?
Who made who, who made you?
If you made them and they made you
Who picked up the bill, and who made who?
    Ain't nobody told you
    Oh who made who?
    Who made you?
Who made who (who made who)
And who made who (who made who)
    Yeah
    Nobody told you

^^^^ Thanks DJ. Now the Ramones are going to take the place of Nazareth's version of "This Flight Tonight". Which has been stuck in a loop for a few weeks now.
