I didn't notice that one until you pointed it out. I'll check it out next time I roll that way and let you know

I used to scoff at singlespeeds, but after riding and owning one I'm hooked! I even turned a folding Worksman Port-O-Trike into a fixie. It had a faulty Sturmey-Archer 3-speed hub that skipped in second and third gear no matter how it was adjusted, so I took all the gear hardware out, shortened the chain, and moved the rear cog all the way to the right for a perfect chainline. Now this bike is actually fun to ride because it can be ridden backwards.

It's also quite a bit lighter now.

Got any good freighttraininguphill climbing vids to show ? I'm doing a very cold ride tomorrow and could use some inspiration.

Unfortunately it will once again be on pavement. The constant sub-freezing temps at night are keeping the trail I wanted to ride in crappy condition, according to the NorCal subforum .

We did two of them today but I didn't bring the video camera. One was 13.9% average grade for a good solid mile on pavement and the other was at least that steep on dirt for something approaching one mile.

We ride there a few times each year. I promise to record it for you the next time through. I couldn't clean the dirt climb but the pavement climb was no biggy.

We had a heat wave today. Traveled south to hit the no snow zone. Great ride with a great group of guys. It was supposed to be a casual ride, but you know how that goes. Wasn't a death march, but that's about all I wanted to do for the inaugural ride.
    Yay for bikes.

So, I signed in to RBR tonight, and I discovered that I am able to view all rep received and given since my join date of 06/07/11. This just happened, because it was never visible before.

Same old same old here on MTBR. Only the last twenty or so are visible.

^^^ They allow that so that the roadies can track 'non-roadies' who wave at them - after a while, they will give out one wave per 10, per person; so long as they are no caught acknowledging it
If they are caught, there are to be no waves given out for 30-days; and their wave-counter is reset
    Honestly... ahh I give up
