They are the pinnical or holy grail of lure fishing for inshore lure fishos here.
There are only a very small handfull of people that have ever taken one let alone many on lure in aus.
Ive hunted them for 20 years on lure, and now its my bread and butter, i teach people to find them on plastics n big hardbodies, its a lifetime passion of mine.
I teach people to find the mindset to think outside every perception they have had for a lifetime to understand them
most people take them on live bait or big dead baits and wait for them to come to them at night, i locate them holding up during the day and night, and find them pushing big mullet into corners of bays..
Google MULLOWAY and find a pic of a big one, they get as big as us humans easy..
Hilarious Tone's.... I thought those were groupers. In California, we have a gigantic "grouper" type fish here called a Giant Sea bass. It can grow as large as a VW Bug!

Your Mulloway looks like a prized gamefish here we call a White Sea Bass but to me it looks like a fish from the Croaker family. They get to be about as big as yours do. The best day I ever had on them was 7 fish on a Tady C surface iron. Those were 20 pound class fish but I have 60 pounders taken a few times.

Here's a pic of a Giant Sea Bass taken by an angler many years ago. They are now Federally protected here so it's strictly catch and release on them but they are a blast to pull on.

I'm also including some White Sea Bass I was involved in catching...

I know half the guys on the second pic. We would get at least 10 guys together every year for a 2 day outer island charter trip. So much fun!! I'm on the left side holding my 33 pound California Halibut high up in the air. Yum!!!

    Speaking of burnt orange..

The LBS where I bought my bright yellow singlespeed Peugeot mixte frame bike seems to have a thing for burnt orange too...

Old rigid MTB converted to a city bike

Freshly powder coated frame ready to be built up, next to a burnt orange couch

    Delivery bikes

Delivery trike, also with purple anodized cranks

I ventured into the Gen. Discussion section tonight. I've dabbled in there every now and then. I felt weird over there. I'm definitely an O/C Lifer.

Doesn't matter how good shape your in, the stripes don't make those meggings any more flattering.

I would so, so, so rock one of these all the time. I would wear it to everywhere and never be cold again!! Must find some info in this thing.. Could also be the perfect X-mas gift, and a group picture with my friends wearing these would be priceless.....
