    Snow day

So it's snowing here. 18" so far and another 8" or so on the way. Lots of places are closed, and the wind blown snow is too deep to ride trails, but the streets are prime for fat shenanigans urban assault style.

we had the same amount of moisture as you, but compacted to about 4 inches due to it being mostly sleet/freezing rain.

It wasn't great here because it thawed a few times and melted everything, but the weather man said we were above average for total snowfall. 150-170 inches maybe? i forget.

3rd biggest in March. I do recall the '99 March snowstorm that dumped some 40+ inches off the lake...I think I spent most of those few days shoveling.

    Understand.
Family in Michigan speaks of same. I was there to 1993 and recall just a few years in MI when most of winter seemed rainy, muddy and warm. It just sucked to have that halfazz type of season where you can't really do much and it's always sloppy or mucky.
In the Middle Ages, the biggest mistake was not putting on your armor because you were 'just going down to the corner.'

Working all weekend but Monday it's on. I prefer week day riding with very few others out.

    Spring upgrades include:

    New shock
    New tires
    New brake pads
    New cables and tune up.

I even gave it a good wash.

cool. i haven't shown my only remaining trail bike any love yet. it's going to be a while till i take it out of it's resting place given our most recent snow storm.

There is a new one on the horizon though. More details on that in a few weeks.
