I just watched the trailer Judy posted. Who comes up with this crap. It's raining sharks look out. But I guess it could be entertaining in a dumb sorta way. And I suppose It could make it's way in to the B movie hall of shame.

When I was working retail, we had a customer that produced movies like this for cable TV. He was nutty looking and thought all of them were ridiculous but he loved what he did.

Perhaps new wurker will produce a film with raining TurtleHawgs? One never knows....

OK, I'll admit, I watched it. It was actually one of the worse of the SyFy channel's lineup of ridiculously bad disaster flicks. But it was so bad it was pretty good in a weird sort of way. I was intrigued by the pairing of Ian Ziering and Tara Reid.

Actually a much better shark movie is Two Headed Shark Attack. It has everything you want in a movie: babes, bikinis, and a man/woman eating two headed shark. Funny thing is that the people, for the most part, only die in pairs.

Wow who knew, the more years that pass, the more super powers our sharks are becoming. I'm surprised they haven't grown wing's yet.

Shh, that's not a bad thought and so you should quickly pass that idea on to Syfy before somebody else does. I guarantee they'll "bite" on that.

Was just looking into it, and Sharknado is not on Netflix Instant, nor on Amazon prime instant, altho I am sure it will not be too long before it is. While I was looking at the Netflix description tho, I did find this:

"When a freak hurricane swamps Los Angeles, thousands of sharks are swept up in tornadoes and deposited all over the city, where they terrorize the shocked residents. Among them is bar owner Fin, who must rescue his estranged wife and daughter."

Am I to understand that one of these freakishly-deposited sharks, Fin, (great name for a shark BTW!), had a bar and family somewhere before he was unceremoniously picked up by a tornado and put down in LaLa Land? Sheet, I'd be pissed and want to eat people too!

I did not see this particular horror/laugh fest, but I do know that the Syfy channel is very proud of their movies. They even made a short behind the scenes promo film detailing the reasoning behind making these cheddar flicks. Apparently people just love'em. Who knew? The Syfyf channel did, that's who. Stonehengepocalypse, just sayin'

Fin is Ian Ziering's character's name, not the shark's. Its a brilliant name for the lead character's name in a shark movie, that's for sure!

I always liked B movies, even before Syfy took it to the next level. A lot of the Syfy stuff I don't like so much but occasionally I can't help myself and I'll watch. One characteristic all these Syfy films have is real low budget, awful special effects. Its pretty funny.

Indeed, it would be. I'm sure there's a sequel coming out and it would be in the realm of possibility to have a shark named Fin take over the bar. It could be a toxic waste story line where the chemicals give the shark super intelligence so it eats the human Fin and comes up with a diabolical plot to take over the bar by impersonating Fin. Any humans who catch on would be immediately eaten.

That looks like classic! Gotta love the low quality ghost effect. Reminds me of something you might see on Scooby Doo.

I saw the M.U.S.S. in your signature, which is the U of Utah student sports booster club. I attended school there a few years back.

The MUSS I refer to is the one with 2 wheels rolling beneath me. An acronym itself, the More Urban Single Speed. I'm not really sure what that means, as far as I know there isn't a Less Urban Single Speed or a Farmer's Utilitarian Single Speed.

I will be having my girlfriend watch this movie as she is deathly afraid of sharks. She hates when Discovery channel has shark week every year because I love watching it. I have a countdown on my calender for shark week.

That is so cool. My seventh grade advanced biology teacher had a two headed snake in a jar. I've been obsessed with the two headed thing ever since. It's really just an identical twinning thing gone wrong, but I still think it's cool. Shhhh....don't tell my identical twin cousins...
