    It's live on Discovery Channel too. Just passed though 90,000'! Frickin' crazy, but I'm glued to the TV and delaying my ride to see this live.

    I turned it on when he was moving to the edge of the seat. Holy Crap! Pretty good drama as the speedometer kept rising before you saw him gain control. That was a free fall.

    That was an amazing jump though. Had to be crazy for him when his visor fogged. That would creep me the hell out

    Mach 1 is 761 MPH, Felix went 729 MPH.

    I'm glad Joe K kept his longest free fall record, doing that **** in the 1961 was way more gnarlier, he deserves to hang on to a record, IMO.

    Mach is not a constant, and where Felix was, I think it was around 690mph to break the sound barrier.

    I knew it changed, but I though (incorrectly) that the speed of sound increased as altitude increased. It turns out the speed of sound varies significantly because of air temp and not just density which I didn't know.
