Hidden headlights on a Chargers were standard from 66' to 70' and optional in 71' and 72'.

Love it. Someone actually using a 60's Mopar as a real car in 2014. With the skinny whitewalls and trailer hitch it looks like it drove out of a time warp.

I owned 2 different Roadrunners back in the day. Miss them, although my current Mopar is a 1993 Ramcharger 4x4.

My truck is always dirty... because the Corp. Cred. Card will not work for the car wash, ( Not an approved vendor, and it takes an act of congress to get them approved)

Wished it was a clearer pic.

Short story: I was driving along way back in the mid 90's, Looked in my mirror and saw this old Van Conversion coming up with something stuck to the grill.. When it got closer, I noticed it was a square orange and black " Road Closed " sign !...
i grabbed my old Cannon 3" floppy disk camera and snapped a pic just like that one this morning.
I could not believe it was really that kind of sign, Just stuck there from the wind pressure. i could see it kinda flopping in the breeze.
It pulled of the freeway on my exit and as it slowed down the sign slid down the grill and onto the road..

And FB you sure have a fast paced camera. I would have gotten off one photo with my crappy cell phone. As others said the mirror shot is awesome.

DJ, yeah, it is a '68, huh? Only year the 68-69-70 Charger had round tail lights, right?

Wasn't there something unique to the 70's, though? Maybe I'm thinking of the front wrap-around-the-grill bumper.

68' and 69' had the round tail lights like what Fishbucket saw above. The 1970' year had the bad ass long tail lights like this photo. Which was "unique" to that year. IMO and many enthusiasts 1970' was the best body style year for the Charger.

That was the beauty of the old Mopar muscle cars. Plymouth / Dodge most from 68' to 71' came with a huge selection of V-8 powerplants.
Go to the dealership and check off the box you desired. From fast to scary fast.
    1] 318
    2] 340
    3] 340 six pack / six barrel
    4] 383
    5] 440
    6] 440 six pack / six barrel
7] Big Daddy 426 HEMI dual quad

The Chargers from 68' to 71' gave you these choices.
    1]318
    2] 383 Magnum 4 barrel
    3] 440 Magnum 4 barrel
    4] 440 six barrel / 3 two barrel carburetors.
5] Big Daddy 426 HEMI dual quad / Two 4 barrel carburetors.

Basically you could order from mild to wild and go racing right from the dealership.

This one I took while operating the sunroof, camera and driving .. all at the same time...
    So it's kinda special.
