    The Off Camber Monthy Planner/Diary

Family: Gonna try to sneak off to Catalina Island for a day and or take the girls fishing before my daughter starts school again.

Riding: I did the gnarliest ride of my life (to this point) yesterday with a fellow eMpTyBeeR member. Had a blast but I am sore and grumpy (obviously) today. Contemplating a local ride tomorrow, probably will go. In two weeks, I am meeting up with 3 eMpTyBeeR members in Kernville to do the Cannell Trail (Cannell Plunge). That will be my first time through there. Really looking forward to that.

Personal: I'd really like to get out to the tuna grounds again sometime this month. We are having an epic season on Blue Fin Tuna here. I am paying off my truck in two days, yee haaa! Had new tires mounted on my truck a few days ago. Other than that, work, work, and more work. Cha-ching $$$

Wutcha got going on in August?

On call for work this weekend, so its sit at home, watch baseball & NASCAR, try to stay reasonably sober.

Nothing planned for next weekend. Hopefully a lot of mtn biking.

16th - 18th we are camping at Loon Lake. A weekend of hiking, mtn biking and kayaking. I'm hoping to pull off the Loon Lake Death March.

    <iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/52854314?badge=0" width="400" height="300" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe>

Not my video. I poached it off of the NorCal Board.

On the 24th, I'm doing the TS59, the shorter version of the recently cancelled Tahoe Seirra 100 that is creating all kinds of uproar on the NorCal Board.

Outside of that stuff, its try to get as much OT at work as I can muster, lots of early morning gym sessions and not enough beer.
Its all Shits and Giggles until somebody Giggles and Shits

We had a foot of snow in October a few years back. But, it really doesn't snow that much where we live. It is just that any snow we get lasts a long, long time.

Christmas lights start going up in October.

Yard gets clear of toys and the like in November.

Trying to get a volunteer spot to work a few days out of 6 of the Breck Epic, starting the 11th. Maybe fly fish while there for some Colorado Greenback Cutthroat too, while I am there. Maybe see Rocky Mountain National Park. And mountain bike.

today: Dress rehearsal for OVO with all bells and whistles, booms, flames and fun! Tonights show cancelled.

tomorrow (Simcoe Day ?): Show day OVO, every rap/hip-hop star is gonna be here, but I won't recognise any of em.

Tuesday: I GO HOME!!! Yay! Been here putting this together for nearly 3 weeks and I want some heat, my loved one, and my kitties nuzzling me in the mornings. I will be able to ride again

I was joking and referring to this thread "Bar Hopping Bear"

Anyway Lonigans bar is in the small quaint tourist town of Estes Park. And Estes Park is nestled right below Rocky Mountain National Park. I would highly reccomend spending half the day checking out the town of Estes and the other half driving up into Rocky Mountain,National Park. They really go hand in hand together. I live pretty local to both and frequently spend a weekend day up there.

It sounds like you are going to try to hit Rocky Mountain National Park after hitting Breckenridge. In that case you will be coming from I-70 and heading east. You will enter the park and drive all the way through and then hit the town of,Estes Park. Another extremely high reccomendation is to drive down Big Thompson Canyon. After checking out the park then the town save an extra hour of day light [only 30 minute drive] and drive down the Big Thompson Canyon. An incredible canyon drive and a must see while you are here. Quite a bit of wildlife viewing. The town of Estes and surrounding area you will see Elk and deer. And in the canyon you could see Rocky Mountain,Big Horn Sheep. And if you fish the Big Thompson river runs through the canyon. A trout fishermans paradise with Rainbow, German Brown, Brook and some Cut throat.

If you do make your way down the canyon you will then drive through Loveland. Once there continue heading east on 34 through the town and you can hook up with I-25 south which will take you back to Denver in about an hour. Edit: Oh and if you want to hook up for a beer and or a ride be sure to P.M. me.

I'm finally getting caught up on bills after spending all my $$ on the new truck.Next thing to do is have it checked over by a mechanic. If it's all good and doesn't need any costly repairs,I'm going to start building up a new bike.I've missed too many chances to ride on my days off because of muddy trails,so I want to build a new rigid bike for urban riding.Thinking of a 27.5,or possibly a 29er,definitely going SS.

Off to Bonneville salt flats in Utah tomorrow morning for two weeks. Taking the Fatbike with me so I can cruise the pit area in style

By the time I get back, I should be hearing from my realtor if my offer on an AZ desert property has been accepted or not.

House down payment will put a big dent on my savings account, so I'll have to work the rest of the year.

I wonder if Nicole should check out Dirty Junk before I do? Dude, I've not pedaled at all this summer since Jackson Hole in mid June. You'd best plan for uber old and slow and have the patience of a Saint. My Ice Cream Abs are in fine form this summer.

Randy don't stress so much on your man boob's, they won't bounce as much up here at altitude. But if you must you must, here's your quick fix.
