    O.C. Age Poll

Just curious of the average age of the O.C. lately. Please list your age as long as filling out the poll. Thank-you, and I'm 51.

Amazing how many of us 45+ folks decide to climb steep, rocky hills and MTB. I believe 95% of the US population our age group can NEVER do that!

We don't actually ride, we just discuss it on the interweb.

No, you're just running with the ball!

To my fellow old guys... GUYS!!! WAKE UP!!! That's better... remember when we started riding MTBs and there was no interwebthing to discuss anything on? That's when I used to DEVOUR magazines... things moved more slowly then, at least off the trail.

I remember being the only local guy who rode and had interweb access ... back then it was all newsgroups though. Now I'm off the back since everything local has become all facebook, but there's some fads I refuse to chase

Eye yi Yi.... I'm off the back... but I got around the block a few times on my Schwinn Sting Ray with Bendix coaster brakes on the horse trails, back in the day, late 1960's thru the early 70's. I was still riding Sting Rays on dirt horse trails, real single track, back when I got my drivers license at 16. Didn't make me good dating material, I suppose.

Yeah, being only 38" tall means that even with an XL Tallboy... you're never
gonna catch up to a rippin' MTB chica like Judy.

And if truly 38" long - then it's constantly dragging anchor & grooming trails.

You made me do math. I wasn't sure if I was 46 or 47 (odd cutoff point BTW) but I made it into the 46 category for a few more months.

I'm pretty surprised by the average age. I use to think the OC was immature but now I'm starting to think it might be senility.

So March or April? Or, do you mean the celebrated day of December 25th?

For me, I turn 40 in August. It feels odd actually.

It must be some lurkers who voted for under 20 unless it's just another OC regular goofing off. Yup, prolly that, indeed.

I always knew I was the young'n out. Just one more year and I'll be able to pick the next oldest option.

A couple of the people on my school cycling team are pretty old, too. Imagine, 30-something years old and still in school!

This really explains a lot of the music choices in some of the other threads. I thought maybe it was just you guys being into classic rock and stuff. You guys were actually around when it came out!

I don't think I've seen GOB post her age yet. I know you're not supposed to ask a lady that, but I'm married and just dgaf.

A mystery, we'll figure this out. I can narrow it down a bit more, you don't know anything about Buddy Hackett.

Yep some have missed out on so much. And I noticed GOB is still avoiding giving up her age.

From the MTBR OC evidence, GOB is between 25 and 32.
