    How long did the Vitamix run before you "rescued" the spoon? My wife once made hot soup in one of those things..... they are serious machines.

    I've been known to accidentally leave a knife or spoon in the in sink garbage disposal only to turn it on. Talk about a scary noise, you'd think the house was imploding. Its been awhile since that has happened though, I'm thinking that this was way back to my college days.
