The OP apparently didn't spend a lot of time thinking this ill conceived plan through to its inevitable conclusion.

After seeing this thread I regret giving OP positive rep earlier today (before he made this thread) telling him he has a shot here if he matures up a bit. It's a shame to see the positive, constructive rep I gave him being used to "bring down" the established members here.

Let's form a truce. I will not surrender, but I am tiring of constant arguments.
Let's all be friends and repair the damage that was done.

But arguing with strangers is the only reason I use the internet. I can't let that go.

Just sayin'. If not you, then I'll argue with others. Plenty of people around here. I only have a few more requirements to fill before I have my degree (Bachelor of Science, BS) in MTBR Law.

I have a disease that will eventually take away my ability to ride and it was suggested by some of my PT people that I could ride....well.......with the training wheels and they make them for adults and they don't look "childish"

My answer was "**** NO!" and they laughed hysterically.

This is why I am trying to transition to road riding, because when my legs get to bad to pedal and keep my balance I might get one of those lay down bikes....the ones yo upedal with hands and sit in.....and have that stupid orange triangle flag on the back sticking 10 feet up in the air. Sucks....I don't want to think of it....so far all good and I'm not that bad of shape and can still make the trails pretty good.

But training wheels? **** no, when it comes ot that, my biking days are over.

I'd unwrap that candy! Jolly Rancher indeed.
Also, there is a bike called the Townie that enables the rider to remain seated and put their feet on the ground. I've seen a few old people around the city riding these. Perhaps, since you would want to maintain some level of self appreciation, this could be a better option instead of adult training wheels. The other option is an adult trike, but it may be too wide for single track.
I don't know why,... it's just MUSS easier to pedal than the other ones.

Assuming you are being serious, I have a neighbor with MS - as his mobility has deteriorated he has managed to keep riding - basically its a road bike tricycle. It is very cool and its awesome to see him riding!

    something like this:

    this is another cool option:

    Oh this is just delightful.

My money is on the teenager getting banned first then signing up with another email and details and starting all again.

Dude no one gives a f()ck about rep but you. People keep giving you chances to repent and you keep coming back with the, well, most idiotic answers I've ever read albeit entertaining when the "gang" tears you a new one for your efforts.

Close the door on your way out and do it quietly. Now go to your room and think about what you have done.

Our brilliant young friend tried to start a rep club to take over the forums. Kinda backfired...(although I'm trying to figure out how he got more green than e.b. who has apparently figured things out around here and become not-so-dickish).

OP has been here for quite a while. Even though he hasn't quite figured things out, he's still gotten some rep over that time. Meanwhile, eric has only been here a month or two. And eric is a much faster learner than C9.

MS is different for everyone and some have it worse than others with different symptoms. Sounds like he has issues balancing the bike(obviously) Cool for him and me... I won't feel as dorky when it comes to trading two wheels for three and honestly those bikes and set-up look pretty good and don't have "Disabled dude" written all over it.

    Exactly.
Yes I know I am posting again, but you guys (not Eric and his part of the thread) are taking this too far. That is dickish, especially when you made rude comments about another newbie.

I believe he was diagnosed when he was quite young (10 or 11 maybe?) I believe MS typically doesn't present itself until early to mid 20's (but I am far from a specialist on the subject grain of salt).

As I mentioned, I have nothing but respect for him riding his custom trike.

And that is why I have deleted EVERYTHING. Do you know what? I just want to apologize. That is all, and if you won't take an apology, then that is more childish than anything I could have done here.

Apologies are best said with fewer words and more humility, it makes people think you mean it.

Could be as people as young has 13 or younger are being dxed and treated for MS. Some people get a diagnoses at older ages, 40-50. Sometimes MS can be so mild that someone doesn't even know they have it and others have it so bad that they become totally disabled....I mean...spoon fed kind of disabled. I got my official diagnoses at age 28, but had some recurring symptoms from as far back as I could tell the doctor....like 18 and through my twenties. Just now in my late 30's I am experiencing actual disability from it....I don't work anymore...quit a year ago. Until then I managed the symptoms just fine and I just kept on moving. It's a little tougher now, but it isn't like I am going to go all veggy from it. If it comes to wheelchairs and stuff....I'll deal with it. Right now I feel good and ready to ride...sooo... Jack Osbourne, Teri Garr, Montel Williams, and now the nascar driver, Trevor Bayne....all have MS.

A lot of people ask me what it is like to have MS. I always say it's like having a bastard prison warden that tells you when you can do something and how. Day to day I don't know how it will pan out...I have to feel it out in the morning, take my meds and work out my day around whatever MS tries to kick my ass with each day.

Right now I am having a great MS down time....meaning I don't feel any symptoms ATM that bad and I am comfortable... Although I still have to keep the toilet in sight lol..MS likes to hold your bladder in its hand and tease you. It's like "OK *******, you got 20 seconds before I squeeze this thing! GO!!

Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining or trying to be felt sorry for.... I just enjoy explaining to people what MS is and what it is like....MS is so not known.. Peopl ejust see a person that looks normal, acts ok, moves ok.... and unless you are in a wheelchair or plugging along with a walker or stick....people assume you're healthy. A lot of us are still mobile without aids to walk with and people don't understand why we are disabled....they can't see it.

If you missed it, C9 wanted to create an exclusively newbies-only gang so that they could circle-jerk each other into the highest echelons of rep and then come around and rep all the big e-peens into oblivion.

Only problems are that it takes 200+ points to gain one point of rep power, and C9 is the only one who gives a shit about rep. C9 especially wanted to hook up with eric and the two of them could take charge of the whole thing, but eric knows when it's acceptable to be an immature d!ckwad, and C9 doesn't yet have that on/off switch that so many of us have refined over time.

It's easier to read the more beer you have in you. Also, you should try for your 8000th post in this thread. Would be kinda appropriate, wouldn't you say?
