In order to introduce and develop all the characters (13 dwarfs plus Baggins : they all had interesting looks and personalities so it was alot to take it) I think the little extra time spent on each scene was necessary to build the plot.

The clarity was brilliant I don't know how much of the landscape was created on computer but all I kept thinking was, I wish I could ride my bike there! We saw it in the regular version not 3 D and I dont feel cheated

Just finished watching "The Hobbit", online, for free. It was good, something was missing from it though.

Watched Rock of Ages......basically it was a bunch of bad 80's music videos mixed in with a bad 80's rom/com story line.

Just watched "Another Earth". Slow, methodical, but pretty good in the end. Not what I was thinking, as I was under the impression it was more of a sci-fi, but it certainly was a drama. I will say, the main girl in it is pretty smokin'!

Ugh . . . I just watched the Hobbit. Complete FAIL. Peter Jackson successful ruined the movie. I've seen better productions from amateur's. I'm not being facetious either.

It was okay. It was the first "REC" movie I ever watched. The original REC looks pretty good.

I wondered the exact same thing . . . and I really enjoyed all 3 LOTR movies.

The cinematography, CGI and especially the 3D in The Hobbit were all absolutely terrible and very poorly done IMO. Honestly, it ruined the movie for me and its noticeable within the first 5 minutes of the movie and throughout the whole film. I kid you not, some of the footage literally looks like raw footage from a GoPro.

I watched the Hobbit the night it came out, in 3D. I loved it, but I'm a simpleton when it comes to movies. There were dwarves, and some fighting, so i was more than entertained. different from the LOTR movies, but not in a bad way. Goblin King was nasty.

I've seen a couple movies in 3D (Superman, Avatar) and the effect didn;t make me enjoy those movies any more

I like a good story, and good acting. I don;t like 3D craze for any movie and prefer regular version,

Corpse bride. Even though it's supposed to be for kids I guarantee you it's worth watching. The atmosphere has an unique sweet yet somewhat perverted taste. And It's stop motion animated. It's amazing how smooth it is.

I was more under the impression they are using 3D to sell bad movies. This movie sucks, let's put it in 3D so people will come watch it.

All three MIB movies, "Premium Rush" some terrible "comedies" called "Ted", "Due Date" and "Paul". I don't see why the "F" word is considered funny every 30 seconds in these movies. Oh..forgot "Flash Gordon".

It's been a long weekend. Now watching the animated "Justice League" shows.
