I watched the original Little shop of horrors (1960). It was pretty funny and seems like it could have been a little ahead of it's time.

'Quartet' yesterday, very funny/sad/moving, with a superb cast: Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Tom Courtenay, Pauline Collins, an unlikely but wonderful Billy Connelly, and Manuel from Fawlty Towers, (Andrew Sachs), among others. The Best Of British! You would like this one Judy I think

What a bad movie. It wasn't so bad that I turned it off. But everything about it wasn't right. The "action" scenes were predictable. The love interest was not a good side storyline. They ended the movie leaving questions unanswered even though it's obvious they weren't going to make a 2nd one. And worst of all, everything about the setup of the movie was an attempt to make it seem like an 80s chick flick. From the pink font color used for the title and credits, to the entire soundtrack, it all felt like some attempt to bring a female audience in and get them to remember 16 Candles.

    Down Periscope.
    Great Navy comedy.

Last night I watched IMO one of the best ever. Although I've seen it many times it's one that is so good it can be watched numerous times and not get old. Silence Of The Lambs

It's been over a year since I've watched it. That hiatus was worth it, because it was just as funny last night as it was the first few times.

    Deja Vu

Not a bad movie until near the end when every single car started blowing up simply by getting shot through the windshield with an Uzi. Then it was just dumb.

Not as good as I remember it being, but Walken in a crazy role makes any movie better.

Should have packed a nug ... thanks for the warning RC!

I am anxious to see Elysium (opens in August)

Director Neil Blomkamp (District 9) – Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley ,playing humans in the year 2154: a time when the wealthy upper-class resides comfortably on a space station orbiting the Earth, while the poor and destitute live on the ruined planet’s surface below.

WTF? What just happened??!?! When the above post gets deleted, a little bit of history will go with it. Some of us will be able to say "I was there...!"

Perhaps that should have been in 'Randy Boy's hook up thread'?

Jack Reacher - Not a bad movie even with Tom Cruise as the lead.

A Haunted House - Wayans spoof movie making fun of Paranormal Activity. Naturally it's dumb and corny a shell, but it had some funny moments.

The Guilt Trip - Seth Rogen and Barb Streisand. It was alright, a little dry.

Tomorrow You're Gone - Weird movie. Not hard to follow, except for a couple cut scenes where you're not sure if he is dreaming or if it actually happened.

This thread needed to be resurrected...

Parental Guidance - Funny family comedy. Worth a watch

Mama - Horror flick, mostly predictable with very little scary to it, but not bad

Antivirus - A bit odd. It takes celebrity fandom/fanaticism to a whole different level.

Pawn - Pretty much standard diner robbery, nothing special. But it wasted some time.
