This thread keeps coming and coming so, hell, I figured I'd better make some sort of contribution to it sheeeeesh........... Where did that turtle passion thread go? That was a GREAT one.

Here's my crummy, slow-going blog The Slow Spoke if you're interested.

Not quite sure why we care...

I'm not quite sure why we care about photos of mushrooms in a mountain bike passion thread. But I fell off my bike and busted my arm, so went mushroom hunting instead of riding with a cast.

So mountain biking > broken arm > bored > mushroom hunting > mushroom pics... Maybe now I begin to see the connection.

    Here's our too-many pics:

Easy one. That's Chicken of the Woods or Laetiporus sulphureus. Very common and tasty! It will likely pop up in the same place for a few years.

Last week in the White Mountains in AZ. I've never seen so many mushrooms and so many different varieties...it was a very wet winter!

Met some peeps out picking chanterelles, they must have had 40 pounds with them.
Ironically we met them at the campground where the escaped murderer and his fiance were caught!
