Well that stinks although give that the hacker's demonstrated ability to bring huge companies to their knees I don't blame the theaters for backing out. I'm sure it wasn't the threats of violence (I didn't think for one minute anything would come of that) but rather the threat of further hacking that made the theater chains and Sony give up on the movie.

I'm looking forward to that new Mad Max too. I'm just glad Mel Gibson won't be in it because I can't stand that guy any more. And I'm looking forward to the new Terminator Genisys.

This whole story is just seeping with irony, after Sony tried to hack all of it's customer's computers with rootkits about ten years ago.

In all fairness to Sony, they felt drastic measures were in order, when PSA's like this weren't taken seriously by the internet generation.

I'm concerned that those kids are playing video games at school. It dilutes the message. That PSA is about as effective as Sexual Harassment Panda.

But it had a "cool rapper".

Obama aparently touched on this in a press release or what ever you call this. But the best line out of it is this, it starts at 1 minute. Couldn't figure out how to start the video then.

Foxcatcher starring Steve Carell as John Dupont who sponsored Olympic amateur wrestling back in the 80's and 90's. Its the story of the murder of Dave Schultz by Dupont on his estate called Foxcatcher. I can't quite remember why Dupont murdered Schultz but he was schizophrenic.
