Just a good find on my part - I see a hallmark at the bottom, but it's too small to read. Image info no help.

Image search did it: Glen Etive, in the West Highlands of Scotland [1067 x 1600] by Fernando Vicente

But more specifically, the host site: EarthPorn

    Vurrra noice!

I saw a shark that was as long as my kayak a few years ago in San Diego.. the fisherman in me said "cast!" the rational person in me said "change your shorts."

In reality it was most likely a 7 gill - nothing scary or anything.. but BIG!!

My both grandfathers were miners and my father worked in the mining industry in northern Ontario. These are not my pics but I have visited and toured mine sites and I find this piece of equipment interesting

I found the source! New Zealand!

[12 December 2006] Backdropped by a colorful Earth, astronaut Robert L. Curbeam, Jr. (left) and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Christer Fuglesang, both STS-116 mission specialists, participate in the missionís first of three planned sessions of extravehicular activity (EVA) as construction resumes on the International Space Station. The landmasses depicted are the South Island (left) and North Island (right) of New Zealand.
The International Space Station (ISS) is the largest human-made object ever to orbit the Earth. The station is so large that it could not be launched all at once ó it is being built piecemeal with large sections added continually by flights of the Space Shuttle. To function, the ISS needs trusses to keep it rigid and to route electricity and liquid coolants. These trusses are huge, extending over 15 meters long, and with masses over 10,000 kilograms. Pictured above earlier this month, astronauts Robert L. Curbeam (USA) and Christer Fuglesang (Sweden) work to attach a new truss segment to the ISS and begin to upgrade the power grid. [source]

Happy Birthday Patrick the Wombat! This 29 year old is the world's oldest living wombat. Given that Patrick has never had children, or any partners in general, probably makes him the oldest living wombat virgin as well! Congrats mate!
