    "Lost my cookies today"

Today it was in the 90s so I,wasn't to up for a ride. So in order to beat the heat,I decided to take my dog up into the mountains. The temps are usually a good 10 lower up there. So I get up to Estes Park and go for a walk around town with my dog. Stop at a local pub and get an adult beverage. Then left and walked around the small mountain town some more. Ended up in an ice cream shop and got a chocolate waffle cone with some chocolate and peanut butter ice cream. Added a couple chocolate chip pecan cookies to the order. Walked some calories off around town some more. After a couple of hours of being a tourist I decided to head out.

Loaded my pooch in the truck and headed down the canyon towards home. Decided to pull over at
a secret spot of mine in the canyon. A slight hike
back in and I end up at the river. With high rapids
on both left and right but a nice calm swimming
hole and a small sandy beach. Surrounded by rock
walls on both sides with complete seclusion. I
played fetch with my dog for an hour or so.

Throwing sticks up stream he would swim towards it. Ending up in the rapids. And then in the nice calm swimming hole. Finally being, able to get the stick. A quick spin, around and back to me on
shore. A happy very happy 13.5 year old dog
having a blast in the mountain cool water. Air
temps in the mid 80s. A great day and as I'm
hiking back to the truck I remembered my two
chocolate chip pecan, cookies,I had bought earlier
    at the ice cream shop.

So the whole hike back my craving for said cookies
is increasing. I get back to the truck and dig
through it. "Damn I lost my cookies". Apparently
after leaving the ice cream shop and being slightly
buzzed from my adult beverage I set them down
somewhere and walked away. I suspect I left them
on the rail of my pickup bed. In a hurry to load the
dog up and let someone waiting have my parking
spot. I actually waved down the driver to let them
know I was leaving the full lot. Numerous people
circling looking for a spot. So see what being,a nice
guy gets you. Because I was nice enough to
hurry, and give up my spot "I lost my cookies".

Anybody else have a similar day.

Is your software up to date? If so, did you try rebooting? That should help you recover those cookies.*

I've made some bad decisions like taking the gears off my bike. So here's the warning: Do not as I say, nor as I do.

I knew I'de catch hell for that. I only had one drink and there was over two hours that passed since plus I had some food after. I had a slice of pizza in the bar. I was fine to drive. It was more of the rushing to let the guy have my parking, spot that,I was absent minded. The problem was that the parking lot was so narrow that there was several cars behind him waiting to get by. This traffic jam
    was all on my shoulderrs.

I lost mine after a big singlespeed (44x20 ratio) ride today (7,200 footies in 68.5 miles). The funny thing is that I held my cookies until I got back home. Probably ate too much solid food at the 1-hour rest in the middle of the ride.

Your dog ate the cookies and you're a cheap drunk.

    Sure, blame the dog...

Until he poohs paper, I'm thinking serious party foul.
Truth is reality bites, like spilling beer, only much, much worse... to lose your cookies is more like farting in church.

Well yesterday was so relaxing I pulled a duplicate day today. This time I managed to hold my cookies.

With blurred vision and some degree of dizziness due to this migraine headache I've had since last night, I could conceivably lose my cookies over the white wishing well.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that Hawg. Nothing worse than a lasting migraine. I guess I will loosen up the reins on your camera issue

I've never stooped so low as to blame anything I
did on the dog. And as far as farting in church
well......he who fart's in church sit's in his own
    pew".

DJ, anyone that drives up to elevation to take their pooch for a hike, so that it's 10 degrees cooler - is a certified dog lover.
Know that I'm just goofing on ya, and am guilty of sitting in my own pew.

Hey it's the O.C. what fun would it be if we didn't "goof" on eachother. Pew it stinks in here.

    Woof, woof.
Maybe we should start a dog thread.
We take more pictures of our dogs than anything.

Dog farts are the worst. See Tucker groovin' on tunes? That grin isn't because the music was so good.
