    Goodbye Rockfish.

Yes I know it was the Rockford Files but he was called Rockfish by his partner Angel.

I liked him too. Very charming and handsome actor. I think he was a decent man off the screen as well

There`s so many shows ans films; I liked him in Victor Victoria and those Polaroid camera commercials!

Here`s a cool scene from Marlowe: James Garner vs Bruce Lee

James Gardner was one of the few left from an era of respectable actors.

He will be missed. Jim Rockford always seemed to get "the short end of the stick" if you know what I mean.

To this day, if I'd seen that color Firebird going down the street I'd probably wave at "Jim" and ask him to do that reverse bootleg maneuver.
The Rockford series covered a couple of middle-school years and all of high school in my day. Sorry to seem him go.

No doubt tv will Garner some momentum now though !!

Well, at least Jim Rockford kicked Bruce Lee's ass! And out-lived him, too!

    Way to go, Mr. Garner!

I was seriously bummed when I read this. He was great as Maverick, but the sappy chick flick that my wife and I liked was Murphy's Romance with Sally Field.

    RIP Jimmy

He was into old Blazers and off Road racing...5 years back or so online I was helping a friend of "Jimmy's" discuss 69-72 Blazer issues/mods and upgrades.
ANyway...kinda made me feel like I knew the guy ya know...
I grew up watching him on TV too

As it so happened, Space Cowboys was on yesterday. Wasn't for sure if 'Jimbo' was in it but he was.
That's a fun movie to watch and a good group of actors excelling in their craft while making it look easy.

Even if you've seen it, watch it again for a few laughs.

Yeah, that was a good one, too....I find it interesting so see how tough-guy characters make pretty good comedians when they get older.

Christopher Walken is another good example that comes to mind...the guy is hilarious.

There was an animated series he did a voice for. It was a one season series. It was funny too. It was "God, The Devil and Bob". James Garner did the voice of the "God" character (an old man with a white beard type).
