Either stop doing meth or smoke some hooch. One of those suggestions should help.

If all else fails, get some Ambien. Guaranteed to knock you out cold.

^Read my reply above yours. One of those 3 suggestions will help, if not cure your suffering.

    Other things that will help:

*DO NOT eat after 6pm. If you cannot eat by then, skip dinner all together.
*Learn to relax your mind and body at bed time.
*DO NOT watch TV in bed.
*DO NOT do any physical activities one hour before bed time (except for sex)
*Try Melatonin or other sleeping aids
*Make sure the room temp is comfortable (cool temp)
    *Use earplugs to reduce noises
*Put a pillow over your head
*Make sure your bedroom is very dark
*DO NOT do activities in your bedroom (other than sex). Your bedroom should be used for sleeping ONLY.

    I get insomnia too.

I learned a technique that I share with patients/and others. When you are in bed and trying to fall asleep and you can't. Don't let your tongue touch the roof or bottom of your mouth. Focus on letting your float in your mouth... trying it. Its also a good stress reliever when awake and trying to calm down

It is aggravating because I love to read, but if I read in bed, I will be asleep within 15 minutes guaranteed. Happens in my recliner chair too.

Having an orgasm, whether self induced or with a partner will also usually make you drowsy.

Lifelong sufferer here and in fact only a couple hours last night. I've tried many of the above suggestions including orgasms and pharmacology and nothing really helps. For me the best thing to do when I realize sleep aint gonna happen is to get out of bed and do some chores or something. That seems to reset my clock and sometimes that makes me sleep.

Do it too much though, and you may end up like Gene Simmons. Which would lead to less sleep yet.

It's the hops in the IPA.

I would have posted sooner, but I was asleep.

If all else fails insomnia is a reason for an mmj card. Certain strains work better then others so make sure your buying the right stuff. If the trouble is staying asleep, then eating it is the way to go as its affects stick with ya longer.

I heard narcotics, recreational pharmaceuticals and booze will work.

Anyone ever been shot up with morphine? OMG, you see the lights going out and you have the biggest fargin' smile on your face as you fade to black. Been there a few times in my life while on a hospital bed.

If that don't make you sleep, go buy a gun and blow your head off.

i had some bad stuff when i was a teenager, like a car accident and the death of a parent, then multiple relatives getting sick and dying all within a short amount of time. i just stopped sleeping. i was getting two hours a night for close to a year and pretty much snapped. i had to go to doctors and take pills, etc, and got back on track for the most part. They said it was anxiety from past issues, but I didnt believe it for some reason. i realize now that's what it was. it's not perfect, but a lot better than it used to be.

Hawgs correct, knock the top off it, that always help.

Or if you have a gas oven, turn on the gas, and put your head in there untill your feeling drowsy, this is a very good method for falling asleep, make sure you dont pass out with head still in the oven, and dont get so drowsy that you forget to turn it off before you go to sleep.

Take 6mg of melatonin and a few valerian tabs an hour before you do the oven method.

Try to stay away from prescribed sleeping tablets they are habit forming and dangerous for long term use.

Does the new ZZZQuil work? Anyone tried it?

Work stress keeps my head grinding while trying to sleep. Ambien is the devil for me. I find myself nude in the front yard trimming my trees.

Yup... spent 6 days on a morphine drip. Had a little button I could push for a hit as needed. I can tell you exactly how long 7 min is without a clock as I could only get a hit every 7 min

Ambien helps sometimes but it doesn't always work so well for me. I've tried different doses with varying degrees of success. I keep it handy and use it occasionally. It's worth having for sure.
