Hawg, what do you know about this?
Are mountain lions going to join forces and form an evil alliance to take over the world?

Maybe we'll get lucky and a lionado will form and head straight for the Hill.

Ha,ha that article cracks me up. "We're going to be ready for anything" "coyotes are in the area and could be confused for a fleeing mountain lion" "the witness said the beast was as big as a Great Dane"
Hmmm maybe she saw a Great Dane.
Having lived in mountain lion country most of my life I can assure you coyotes ar not commonly confused with a mountain lion. Nor are mountain lions ever been related to looking like a Great Dane.

I think it is somebody's reincarnated house cat, trying to find it's former human. I hope the human was nice to it.

Sadly, this is just another sign of the times. I vote that we fire all the a-holes running our country and hire nothing but scantily dressed hawties to replace them. I mean, if there's already some Cougars starting to gather there, why not give them a shot at the big chairs? That would make for some interesting times.
Hucking Cougar to the rescue!!!

If it were me, I'd chase the damned kitty away and start stripping out the venison.
-
I bet kitty was stalking that deer for a while before he nabbed it. I wonder what part of Mulholland that is?

The cat may also be scavenging a carcass that was killed by a vehicle strike...unless there was a witness who saw the cat kill the deer?
-
Come on that cat didn't kill the deer, it is just having its way with it first.

That's very possible,I didn't think of that.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing!!
In any case,I wouldn't worry about riding the trails; looks like it prefers roadies, must be easier prey.

Thats the first thing I thought of also was it was road kill. But highly unlikely scavenging is not part of a lions nature. Stalk kill eat and pose for a photo...yes.

Perhaps the deer was wounded beyond the possibility of escaping and the cat finished it off. One thing they say around here is if you see a deer, there's a mountain lion close by.
