And the great thing is, after having Wednesday off, today only 'feels' like a Tuesday! I love the surprise at the end of the day realizing it is, in fact, the weekend already.

Brother is coming to town, and we have some good rides planned, so I'm stoked. Have a good one!

My weekend starts in 5 hours. Got some weekend rides planned, Sunday night the kids come back home, will probably ride then and Monday (3 day weekends). May do some yard work Saturday, maybe not.

Only 4 things are certain of every weekend: Beer, trails, sex, rangers baseball

I don't take vacations, instead I take Fridays off all summer. It's my favorite day to ride because it feels like the weekend but it's not so I usually have wherever I'm riding to myself. I'll stop thinking that's awesome when I mortally wound myself on a Friday ride.

Yes, we should! Used to ride a HT, moved on to a FS. It climbs more better, contrary to what a certain member has been raving about in the 29er Bikes forum at this moment...

Is he still trying to debate XC/race HT/FS? If that's what your talking about?

I'm going to race over there on my full suspension XC bike to derail it after I get done working on my own thread. I'm thinking a graph chart picture should do it.

Sure you guys may climb better on your FS bikes due to the increase in traction but I'm talking about speed only. A hardtail climbs faster than a full suspension but an FS climbs more efficiently due to its ability to track the ground better.

However with a little technique I can climb just as efficient on the techy stuff with my HT, and a lot faster to, and I prefer speed as to anything else.

You should have stayed with the hardtail hawg. Give me the frame I'll put it to good use.

Trail Addict, do you ever ride for fun, for exercise, for the sake of getting away from it all, for the scenery??? Or, is it always race, race, race, being enclosed in your own little universe, not really in touch with what's going on around you? No offense but that's how you're making it sound in your world.

I ride/climb hard and fast and I'm not racing anyone but myself. Got nothing to prove. Already been on the top step of the podium in other types of competition. Winning isn't everything, in fact it can be lonely at the top. If my HT climbed any faster, it was because it weighed a little more than 3 pounds less than my FS.

There is a forum on this website called "XC racing and training", ya know? You can exchange blows with those guys who are probably equally as competitive. Heck, if I were you, I'd try to arrange a friendly little MTBR member XC race with some guys in your region. Perhaps you could reign as the champion? It would be a way for sure to see who is king for a day. I'd be interested in seeing that.

Oh, by the way, my HT frame is for sale in the MTBR classifieds. I'll make you a sweet deal on it...
