    Fair Time!

Anyone else live or work near your county or state fairgrounds?

The locals are starting to build their "derby cars" (demolition derby) for the county fair. You see these battered, muddy hulks from last year, and some new gutted shells on trailers and in driveways getting prepped for derby day.

When fair week finally comes, there will be lines of cars and busses pouring into town; the modified pulling trucks and tractors; livestock trailers...

...just stuff you don't see every day.

Yeah but you get to charge an arm and a leg for people to park on your lawn.

Deke, that could end up being one big pile of arms and legs by the end of the fair. Then what do you do with them? Are rotting human limbs worth any money? Seems to me that simply charging cash instead would be more beneficial.

The Boy Scouts have a use for them. They can find a use for anything.
They also run the biggest lawn-parking lot.

Just think about how many times have you asked for an extra hand or limb. They can come in useful.

It can be entertaining following a camel (for the petting zoo) home from work, particularly at stop lights.
I'm enjoying my childhood way too much to ever give it up.
