    Early Rush fans...

You have GOT to listen to this. A live concert from wayyyy back when, when Neil had only been with the band a couple of weeks.

    Pretty incredible.

Nice! I remember back in the early seventies Around 74' I was 13 and my best friends brother played RUSH non stop. Pretty sure I remember that album, RUSH back at that time were huge in upstate N.Y. In fact Lake side park was about a park on Lake Ontario directly across Lake Ontario from Rochester where I grew up.

I have not heard this before. I did come by their first two songs (I think) on YouTube.
I thought I had heard live RUSH before Exit...Stage Left on late night radio, but I don't think it was this. Might have been the King Biscuit show, but I remember the song "Anthem" from Fly By Night. The riff was used in a local news commercial for the sports part of the news broadcast. Might have been the summer of 1976.
Also Working Man and Fly By Night were the only songs I knew by them until I heard the album of 2112 in the winter of 1977. Come to think of it, Working Man and Fly By Night were the only RUSH songs played on the radio here until Moving Pictures came out. Then they back tracked some to Permanent Waves.

Chasing bears through the woods drunk with a dull hatchet is strongly not advised

I would guess a direct ship ride across from the coveted Charlotte Beach!

    Yes that would be it.

Yes it is a small world. As Crankout stated Charlotte Beach is the party central beach of Rochester N.Y. which is basically what I was saying. And yes directly across the pond [Lake Ontario] is Port Dalhousie which is what the song is about.

I lived in St. Catharines/Port Dalhousie when I was in the hospital in Hamilton.
