    Deep Cuts: Music Thread.

We all know popular songs from albums they have played to death on the radio over the years. What about the“deep cuts” from those albums. The ones the radio never plays. Some long lost songs that often times are forgotten yet in some cases are better than the popular songs from any given album.

I’ll start with Van Halen’s “Women and Children First” album circa 1980.

The song: “Take Your Whiskey Home”, love it.

I remember that one, I always like Tull. Breaking the norm in rock with a flute.

My deep cut off that album is "In A Simple Rhyme".

My fave/deep cuts on Van Halen II are "Outta Love Again" (killer drums on that one) and "DOA".

Rush 'Permanent Waves' I love "Natural Science".

Excellent choice with the Rush song. I had to play it to realize which one it was, I haven’t heard it for years. Camera Eyes is another great one. I like Working Man.

Not sure that a title track qualifies as a deep cut. But hey, it's your thread, DJ.

Overshadowed by the four top ten hits off the same album, I like this song:

And also Shit Towne off the same album.

Also Operation Spirit and Pain Lives on the Riverside off their first release.

"Dark Paradise", from Lana's breakthrough album 'Born To Die', which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in January - 2012, and has been on it ever since, currently sitting at 148.

    Zeppelin "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp"

Don't think I've ever heard it played on the radio. Sorry, can't share a link at the moment.

Ah, another Tull fan: Excellent! They are my favorite band. Seen them five times in concert over the past 30 years. Anderson is losing his vocals now, but he's earned his place in rock legend.

Brilliant choice. I'd add "In The Evening."

By no means a deep cut, but a gem for a Tull fan, live and in their prime
