Cucumbers are awesome, as long as they're peeled. I do not like when the skins are left on.

Girlfriend made me a cucumber sandwich about a year ago. How I went through 50 years of life without ever having experienced these, I can't explain.
Chewy pullman bread, crusts cut off, thin layer of cream cheese, paper thin slices of cucumber. Fresh dill sprigs on the side...

I know what's for lunch today.

    BTW Cucumber threads rock !!!

You should try English cucumbers. They have very thin skin.

Cucumber sandwiches are delicious. Have you ever tried putting a couple slices of cucumber in you water? It's pretty damn good, I think it's better than lemon wedges.

Absolutely! Some of the best cocktails contain cucumber.
My favorite is a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich with a little ground black pepper.

I grow both English cucumbers and burpless in my garden. In a normal year I preserve sweet, bread and butter, dill pickles, and sweet relish. English are better, but I still do not like the skin when eating fresh

Cucumber "soup": Slice the large cucumber in half. Take a spoon and scrap (not scoop) out the inerds. You can throw away the seed. Make sure to catch all the liquid. Season to taste with a little sugar. Pop in the fridge and serve cool. It great for a hot summer day.

Love the Cuc, especially the English variety. Sweeter, and less seeds than the standard Slicer.

...however, I do believe pickles are a waste of a perfectly good cucumber.....

    Cucumbers are awesome.

But because of Family Guy I always think about the cucumber on the couch and how it turned into a pickle. frickin' funny. If you haven't seen that episode find it and watch it.
